Updating YN685 Malfunction!! This may be your solution!

When updating firmware in your YN685 Speedlight you may run into a problems where the update doesn't take. You will know this because you will see all 0000000 in all fields of the update screen. Try removing the batteries from your YN622N trigger, count 10 seconds, then put them back in. Then try updating the firmware again.

Help!!!, I have bricked my YN685. My flash won't restart, and i tried on a windows 10 and window 8 computer. ANy help greatly appreciated

I'm sorry. I don't know what to tell you other than try taking the batteries out for a while.

@@allabouthim03 great news!!! I started fresh on a new windows 11 pc. This time ran it again and it worked. I have no idea why it worked but it good to go! No renaming of the firmware file. I just ran the flash updater in windows 7 compatibility mode and as admin.
