Stop Rust Completely & Prevent More Decay!!! Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 And Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac!!

  • In this video, I show how to use Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac and Hydrate 80. Traditional paints and coatings applied to corrosion give disappointingly short-lived performance because they simply hide the underlying and continuing corrosion - the failure is first seen by blistering of the coating and the rapid breakthrough of rust.
Hydrate-80 provides powerful protection to rusted steel surfaces, its electrochemical function stabilises existing corrosion by converting the iron oxides into a protective metal complex and it also combines with surface moisture and oxygen depriving the corrosion process of the conditions it requires. Paints and coatings applied to a Hydrate-80 treated surface demonstrate amazing improvements in long-term performance.
Hydrate-80 provides a superior stable barrier to prevent further attack. The cross-linking polymer formulated to provide the tough non-rubbery barrier tenaciously grips the metal surface forming an ideal base for further coatings, paints or anticorrosion wax.
Importantly for long-term protection Hydrate-80 doesn’t contain chlorine which is known to transform into corrosive hydrochloric acid in rust converter applications causing under-film blistering and destruction of paint finishes or other coating products.
    Hydrate 80...carzilla.ca/?r...
Atom-Mac is a migratory and contact corrosion inhibitor that is diluted in water before use. It provides protection against corrosion in both open spaces and hollow voids. The powerful migratory phase corrosion inhibitors are liberated from the product and are carried in vapour phase to form an invisible atomic shield against corrosion of ferrous metal.

Always pour some of the product into a separate container so as not to contaminate the bottle, otherwise it becomes less effective next time. Also clean the threads off before screwing the lid back on as it can be a pain to get off once it sets. Just my experiences with the product.

I'm seeing a lot more of you using Bilt Hamber products over that side of the water. They're brilliant, aren't they? No nonsense packaging. No wild adverts and claims. Just good quality products that do the job that they're meant to and at a brilliant price. At least over here, anyway.

I personally use amsoil undercoating on rusted metal and it lasts years and seals vary well. Not even 4000 psi water can remove it so the downside is its only in a spray can and overspray is different to remove.

You should never dunk the brush or sponge straight into the Hydrate 80 container. If it's just once then it's ok but doing it multiple times will result in releasing rust that's on the brush to the container which means the product will get contaminated.

  • @tonysmith916
    @tonysmith916 Год назад +1

Hmm, something doesn't look right there. I have used hydrate 80 several times on rusty metal, and it is supposed to turn the rust dark blue or black not still look rusted as it seems to be here. It is an excellent product. Not sure about Atom Mac as I have never used it. Nice car though.

Unless the surface is spotless and roughed up. POR15 will inevitably peel. Personally, I would go with a 2 part, epoxy based paint (you can get the spray cans from Eastwood or others).

It’s an abomination, this newer trend of not giving a dipstick.
It’s not just for oil level, the oil condition and it’s colour/odour also serve as solid indicators of engine health and now there’s no way to check quickly.

  • @slimsampy4764

Beautiful car, love the sound. When you have a a great sounding V8 you roll the windows down to hear every chance you get even in Winter. The hydrate 80 looks to me like Rustoleum Rust Reformer. It’s very thin and really needs a top coat. For less effort I’d rather use chassis saver. It’s much thicker and dries hard.
I’m just learning about Atom Mac. One use for it seems to be preventing rusty rotors after washing like Hyde’s Serum Rust stopper which has gotten very $$$. You use so much less of the Atom Mac when diluted so it’s a fraction the cost. I’m thinking of trying this why my Hyde’s is gone. Have you tried it rotors? Do you normally use something to prevent rotor rust or have another procedure?

    • @thinkforyourself5672

I've tried it at a few different dilutions and hate to say it but Hydes works much much better for rotors
