One thing I’ve noticed using ai to answer certain questions is it’ll tend to mix up and blend in sections from practice books and statutes as it’ll tend to take bits from every source and get confused as you’ve alluded to in the video. I’ve have to re-read sections in the practice book in my state to double check as it’ll mix up a few. One section it claimed I can dismiss a case based on frivolous filing only to find out that section didn’t not mention frivolous filing at all and I could only dismiss on the grounds of insufficient process or lack of jurisdiction etc. Only benefit is it’ll help you articulate certain motions in court, sound professional and make your arguments fluent but it’s not a good replacement for hiring experienced legal counsel. If you’re representing yourself pro se, you definitely have to do extensive research on all the court procedures, statutes, relevant case law and sections of the practice book yourself before hand.

So true - you are absolutely right to double-check any citations, but also to see that there are other benefits it can provide.
Hey Mark, this is great. Can we talk?
Thanks! Best way: feel free to reach out at lydagroup.com.
getting sanctions for minor procedural errors sucks...and courts are prejudiced against pro se litigants
