Hi Dulce, with manifesting we believe that we are a god, but with prayer with believe that God is God.
This is the best way I've heard the difference described. It helped me understand why manifesting is deception. I'm praying for you as we wrestle in faith.

Believing in the “universe” gives people the comfort of believing in God without the responsibility of following the commandments. Self-deception leaves holes that esotericism will never fill.
