Olivetti 486 M4 disguised in Compaq Deskpro retro pc playing retrogames

  • This is my Frankenstein 486 obtained from an Olivetti 486 M4 motherboard inside a Compaq Deskpro case, with the sound card and video card cramped with the brackets insideout. The back looks kinda hideous, but it works.
    It is my slow 486 for playing speed sensitive games and really ancient games with pc speaker sound only.
    I tested some ms-dos retro games like Shadow Knights and Test Drive III The Passion.

      Indeed. It was a pretty good office pc with pentium 133 mhz. Too bad that the motherboard died. But it lives on with the olivetti 486 inside of it.
