I disagree on the point by Pravin that China started the war with India in 1962. From what I know, the Indian Prime Minister at that time PM Nehru deducted that China was very weak and India should take the opportunity to attack China and take more territories. However, his plan backfired and India lost badly. At that time, China could have kept he disputed territory but was too generous returning the disputed territory and Indian prisoners of war to India.

No history education is required on either side. A few simple questions can clarify the logic:
      What benefits did the 1962 war bring to China? Nothing, no land, no honor;
What harm has it brought to China?
At that time, the relationship between China and the United States and the Soviet Union was not good, and India was just the opposite. Therefore, fighting against India was a huge diplomatic risk.
It is neither beneficial nor full of risks. Why does China want to attack India and India still loses?
The only answer is that India attacked China.

Like it or not, China will always be India's neighbour. It's better for neighbours to get along than not. In my view, their border disputes, which stem from the British Empire's overreach, could and should be settled with reasonableness and realistic accommodation from both sides, and not be allowed to be used by opportunistic politicians, ambitious military establishments, and 3rd party countries as an excuse to incite nationalistic fervors for their own interests.
After all these decades, it should be clear neither side could impose its will entirely on the other over a sparsely populated but expansive and difficult terrain.
China has demonstrated that it can settle border disputes reasonably with their neighbours, as in the case of Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, etc. Only in cases where 3rd party interests, namely the U.S.A., intervenes and supports the other side, or the other side takes unilateral actions that violate its interests or previously agreed conditions, would China use its military to protect its sovereignty.
Even today, India maintains 4 times the troop strength than China does at their border. Pretty good indication of the difference in their attitudes and intentions.
I look forward to seeing a demilitarized border with joint patrols for law enforcement purposes only.

A war with India? 😂 Whether people like it or not,
USA, China, Russia, India are top 4 ranked in military... These 4 countries going to war means a recession that world won't be able to control... This is not Soviet era where one country can fall and rest can move on.. 😅
This video is soo dumb... The best example is Ukraine and Russia... Let's say Russia is equal to China in military even though Russia is far experienced just like India and USA with border conflicts and terrorism(even though China has capabilities, remember, China main power is it's navy not army or airforce) ...
Let's just assume China is equal to Russia, then... Is he saying Ukraine is equal to India? 😅
I mean, It doesn't matter how powerful China is... Before India China war ends, entire world economy will be destroyed..
A war without escalation? Both China and India doesn't have capability to contain the war in just one region... It'll spread like forest fire...
Soo all this assumption about China and India war needs to go... Because we won't have any war even in distant future.. Border conflict is geopolitical move where both loose few soldiers to prove point but people thinking it'll escalate to war needs to grow up...
China is increasing troops in border 😂biggest joke..
If China is soo powerful, why haven't they taken Taiwan yet? Imagine not being able to take Taiwan but acting like you can take Indian land 😅
Even if China becomes as well as capable as USA, they won't be stupid to start a war with India because USA will take advantage and destroy China..
The only one who'll take advantage of China-India war is Pakistan but India can hold Pakistan at bay... So India and China won't win if they start a war... USA will be the most beneficial...

The McMahon Line was first drafted in 1913, and the treaty to ratify them (Simla Accords) was never signed by the Republic Of China(ROC) who had just overthrown the Qing dynasty. There was no such thing as the McMahon Line in 1890, and China isn't disputing where the Line was drawn, she's disputing the validity of the Line in its entirety. The primary Indian claim is that the ROC did sign the Simla Accords because a British official called Olaf Caroe fabricated a narrative in 1938 where the ROC signed the Simla Accords (they didn't) and ceded parts of Tibet to the Raj.
In 1963 a British diplomat compared a pre-1938 treaties compendium with the post-Caroe compendium and found that Caroe had changed the note on the ROC's not signing the Simla Accords into one where the ROC signed it and considers the Indo-Tibetan border finalised. Nehru picked up a copy of Caroe's fabricated compendium so he got the impression that his country was legally entitled to more than she actually was. Compounding this was the US' decision to add fuel to the flames by declaring the McMahon Line as the legitimate boundary in an attempt to contain the spread of communism, despite reservations from the US State Department and protests from the fiercely non-communist Chiang Kai-Shek, leader of the ROC.
However, we all know Nehru irreversibly altered his country's relations with China in 1962, so by 1963, when the fabrication was discovered, it was already too late to stem the tide of Indian nationalism based on the false compendium entry. And that leaves us with the situation today, in the aftermath of a British attempt to de jure carve out a piece of Chinese territory which failed but had some success de facto, then a British fabrication of her failed attempt to carve out Chinese territory, then an Indian acceptance of the British fabrication alongside American endorsement, and a Chinese refusal to accept the fabrication as anything remotely legal.
Some Indians recognise that they don't actually have a legal claim to South Tibet, so they've begun using a different claim in that the people living in South Tibet want to be part of India more than China; in essence, a claim based on the principle of self-determination. This is India's secondary claim. However, as history has shown time and time again (Catalonia, Confederate States, Taiwan, Corsica, Chechnya, Tibet, Naxalites), without the permission of the larger body, a smaller section of the population will not be allowed to separate from its original country regardless of what they want.
A much more detailed account of the McMahon Line and its history is available here, written by Peter Lee who, contrary to impressions given by his surname, is not at all Chinese.

Add to that the misadventures of desi James Bond, India is now more of a problem than solution to anything in western eyes. Now the question is, how much India cooperates with China. Modi also defended China by saying :"Na koi ghusa hai...". On September 10, 2020 Modi signed away parts of India to China in Moscow. No news of this in the Indian media. India should find new & creative ways to tackle china. India can & should checkmate china. China is not invincible & India is not uncreative!

bwahaha you want to checkmate China when you are playing tiddlywinks😅😅 China is always at least 8 steps ahead of india - you should clean up your slums and install more toilets first before thinking about chess. 🤣🤣

If like that type of war happen india would unite even more .
      In North East ;south etc
Prior 1962 there were many seperitist movements in india .
In 1962 war a wave of nationalism sparked across the country and the people .
Every person was ready to donate money to fight the war .
Those who were seperitists automatically supported india and india excluding the communist party which supported china due to ideological differences .
War in India brings people together actually .
      And this happened repeatedly ...😊

@@loveblindhate9318 Indian demography has changed. From every state, 30 - 50% people have out and lives in other states... Breaking India is Pak & China's dream, which was possible before 1962. China did one good thing in 1962, United India , 1975 & 71 helped further. Still there are few people who are taking money from outside are creating this type of statesments

@@nirmalbhel3231 First, breaking India is NOT and Never Pakistan nor China's dream. When you watch anti China news like Wion and others funded channels is the problem. India govt. policies are ones who is breaking India up. Second, China isn't competing with India, they are competing with US and Europe. China's economy is about 5x of India's plus their have high tech. that India don't have....In the 60's and 70's, China was poorer than India and backward due to Western sanctions. China's ugly 'divorce' with Soviet hurt them too. In the 70's, Soviet took India's side, China had ZERO military support from any country. Soviet aided India in the 1971 war also or else they would have lost....Third, will be my question to you - what percent of Indian people is living under poverty, be honest now.....There is a difference between knowingly lie and unknowingly lie....The latter is called 'intellectual slave', made famous by an Indian scholar....

I don't know why people think superpowers or imperialists are different in keeping a third challenger down. In politics, especially the past two centuries, when both sides cannot definitely defeat each other, finding another country which's enormous enough to divide the spoils is quite compromised. Even Barack Obama had preached the alliance he called Chimerica in 2007, which was rejected and harshly criticized by citizens from both sides at that time.
