- Hey y’all! Yep, you read it right...rhinestone template creation using Cricut Design Space.
You will need a Cricut, Design Space, a rhinestone font/fonts, rhinestone template material, rhinestones, and hot fix tape.
I used three different rhinestone fonts from the www.rhinestone world.com
TRW Clean Stone
TRW 1001 2in SL Round RFF
TRW 767 Numbers
The sticky flock used here is from www.blingoverbling.com
I hope you enjoy this video! Happy Stoning!!!!
I am so happy to have found this video. I just got a kit for Christmas and watched a few videos that were very complicated. I couldn't find anything that easily explained how to size the circles in Design Space you did it perfectly. Thank you!
I must say that you broke this down into the simplest terms. I now totally understand how to convert my rhinestone templates into a workable project. Thank you sooooo much. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really good video. I took notes as you were explaining and really like at the end where you summarized the steps. I wrote them down so I can follow the summary and if I have any questions, can look back at my notes. Glad you used different sizes so now I know how to do that. Thanks for an easy video to follow.
Thank you for watching. I’m glad that you found it helpful. Thank you for your kind words. Have fun with it. Happy Stoning!
Wow you are the first person to make a video that actually helped me thank you
So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching. Happy Stoning!
Oh my goodness, I am SO happy i ran across this video. You’re an excellent teacher and I’m so excited to try this!!!
Thank you!!! Happy Stoning!
This is great! I’m going to look for stones and supplies to try to bling my own items. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this video. You are the first video on my timeline and I clicked on you and you gave me all the information that I needed thank you so much. I have to make a bling shirt for my sister's birthday. Now I can practice thank you I have to subscribe
Thank you so much for posting this. I really needed this! Now I don't need to order the Sure Cuts A lot software.
Definitely have to download this video
Thanks for watching! Happy Stoning!!!
Thank you. I learned a lot from your video.
Awww. I’m glad to hear that! Thank you for watching! Happy Stoning!
Awesome direction I have been using purchase templates but now I can do my own if you want a picture do you do the same
I'm so excited to try this ! I for the lif of me, could not hear what the site was for the font. TRW what ? Thank you so much for doing this video !!
No worries. It’s the clean stone rhinestone font from The Rhinestone World. Happy Stoning!!!
THANK you!
How can you move over a circle because they are touching
It may be an issue with the size stone hole you are using. If changing that setting does not fix it, then in Design Space, I think I would slice out the area where they are touching and then manually add new stone locations on the template. I hope that makes sense. I'm thinking out loud and, in my head, it works.
Hello i have a question please after you weld and slice the word you choose to do, if you go to make it larger will it change the size of the circles which the rhinestones fit in? I hope the question is not confusing. Ex. like the MOM at the end before making it you want it to be larger on a shirt by stretching it out in design space will the circles in size change? Thank you, I'm very new and after watching your video it makes me feel like i can do this. 😃
Hello and Thank you for watching. And yes, you CAN do this. 😊
If I understand the question correctly, you are wondering if you enlarge the template if the circle size will change. The answer is, “yes.” If you want to make it bigger, you will have to go through the process of sizing the circles for the appropriate stone size again. BUT that is only is you plan to use actual rhinestones.
If you want to do a baby bling/faux rhinestone design, you can use holographic HTV instead of stones. That way, it doesn’t matter what size the holes are because you won’t be dropping stones into them.
I hope this response is helpful. Thanks again for watching and HAPPY STONING!
So if I need my letters a certain size and I need a certain stone size, how would you do this?
Thank You
So happy I found your video. I am also looking for videos to customize in design space around words or objects. Do you know how to do this or where I might find one? Loved the very thorough explanation of everything. I'll definitely be watching for more.
Thank you!!! I'm so glad you found my content helpful! You are able to curve text in Design Space now. That feature was just made available to us in the past year. There are lots of videos on the subject, I may try to do one as well, although I usually do not design inside Design Space. At any rate, do a search for curved text in Cricut Design Space. I hope that information is helpful. Happy Stoning!
@@ShowMeCrafty Thank you, I know how to do curved letters but do I have to put each circle in one at a time and slice it then the next one and so on or is there an easier way in design for the circles? Know of any tutorials or do you have on that?
Do you have to have business versions in cricut
Hello. I am not aware of Cricut having a business version. If there is such a thing, I’ve managed to do all of my projects without it. I hope that answer is helpful. Happy Stoning!
Hi!! I tried this it was great but I didn’t want the font size so big. If i resize the font it also resizes the holes, right?
Hello and thank you for watching. If you change the size of the design it will change the size of the holes. To assure that you have the correct size holes for physical stones, you need to redo the steps in the video to change the holes to fit the size stone you want to use. BUT, if you like the baby bling/faux stone method, you can size the design as you like and cut it out in holographic vinyl. I have a couple of baby bling videos on my channel for your reference. Happy Stoning!
Can you make a video of how to download and use the trw rhinestone fonts? I can’t get it onto design space
Hi there. I did a video on that subject recently. Please go to my channel. It is one of the last ones that I’ve done. I hope you find it helpful. Happy stoning!!
how do u change the size of the design & keep the holes the same size
You cannot. Once you change the size of the design, the hole size will change. You would have to redesign it. Happy Stoning.
❤❤❤
i down loaded font and it says 403 FORBIDDEN ACCESS IS DENIED
I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't have that issue. You may want to contact them to see if they can troubleshoot their font download for you. Good luck with it and Happy Stoning!
Where do you get the rhinestone front from….
where can I get a sizing conversion chart for the measurements you used in the video and in the comments I could not find them online anywhere.
Thanks for watching. If you have SCAL or the TRW Design Wizard, there will be stone measurements in the software. I hope that helps. Happy Stoning!
You must use TRW fonts to do this? Thank
The only rhinestone fonts I have are from TRW. I would imagine any rhinestone font would work, but that is just a guess. I
Quick question: do you have to purchase font from them in order to do this?
I’m sorry. I don’t know how I did not see this message until now. As noted in the video, the font is free.
I don't know what is going wrong with my design it is coming out small. I am using my cricut joy and followed every step andnitnis not coming out to fit a ss10 it's is super small .please help. Ty
I am sorry to hear that. I do not have the Joy, but I don’t think the differing the machine should matter. If you are following the steps exactly, I unfortunately have no clue as to why it isn’t working. Are you sure you are sizing the isolated circle to the correct size before unhiding the rest of the design?
Hello how did you get the TRW into the design space?
When you open the TRW file, look at the very top left and there should be an "install" button. If you had design space open, you will need to close and re-open it after the install.
Hello how did you get the TRW into the design space
Hello! Thanks for watching. The font has to be installed on your computer. I have a PC. I opened the font file after download and clicked “install”. It should then be available to you in Design Space. I hope that helps. Happy Stoning!!!
Yes.. thank you
@@ShowMeCrafty I downloaded the trw but it never popped up in my font
@@sexibitch2012 once you download the font you must open the file and install it on your computer.
I have the TRW font file and have "installed" it and still cant get it into Design space. It says the file type is not supported?
I have not had a problem with it. You may want to contact TRW or Cricut support. I have not had that problem. I am curious though. Are you using a computer, phone, or iPad? I’ve not Tried it on the phone or iPad yet.
What temperature and time do you use to press?
My press is usually set between 313 and 330 degrees. Both temps have worked fine for me.
@@ShowMeCrafty Thank you and for how long?
Can I use flock from Hobby lobby?
Hiya! I didn't think that they carried sticky flock. I have not tried theirs. So if you are going to try it, I would suggest that you only buy a little at first to see if it works. Happy Stoning!!!
ARE able to reuse after printing this?
Yes, the material I use creates a reusable template.
What size would an ss6 rhinestone be?
I use .079 of an inch for SS6. Happy Stoning!
Hi, I was wondering if you have a way to show step by step instructions. I am a weird learner, I need to read and do at the same time. Thank you in advance....=)
I listen to a little, pause the video & do that step then play/pause along with each step
I'M SO SAD. There's not a free font on their website anymore.
Hi Jessica!!! The font is still on the TRW website. I am uploading a video now which shows that it is still there. Thank you for watching. Happy Stoning!!!
How do I upload my own designs into design space to make the rhinestone template for it?
You have to hit the upload button and make sure that the images actually an SVG. Hope that helped
