Man I'm sorry but, don't train in karate, waste of time, it's either, mauy Thai or boxing, trust me. Most karate guys are not used to getting hit in the face bra, pluse the karate fighter don't like to keep there hands up. I also see they like to block kicks with there arms, definitely not a good practice.
@@kireidchampion8397 you can be the best mui tai or box fighter, but if you too much of a pussy to fight someone in real life. Your skills are useless. Fighting is 90% psychological 10% physical.
I can sort of read lips. I think Icy Mike was saying "I don't know why people are so hard on Jar-Jar Binks. He was the best thing about the prequels. My entire bedroom is filled with Jar-Jar [Unintelligible] and I sleep like a baby every night. It's normal to wake up every two hours screaming, right? Somebody love me please." and I think there was something about side kicks in there too.
So I tried this some time ago, practiced it and starting to master it! Tips: -try doing it slowly to get used to the spinning -try to kick a little low at first and aim higher and faster -Improve speed by trying to do it faster and faster because speed is everything with this kick! Thanks Sensei Seth:D
A way I learned it when I did TaeKwonDo was breaking it down into parts, then slowly bringing the parts together. It works pretty similar to how you explained it, just more breaking down.
The tip about making sure to turn my chambering knee sideways is so helpful. For a few years I’ve kept my knee vertical and it’s a stretch to get a roundhouse kick so I’m very excited to try the more efficient way. Thanks man 👌
It took almost a year to get this kick down from absolutely zero training in martial arts. I wish there were some gyms open so I can get proper instruction but thanks to vids like this I can still learn. Thanks.
This is one of the best tutorials out there on the tornado kick - simple, to the point and easy to follow along/execute. Thanks Sensei Seth! . Something that really helps is leg strength kicking drills to get the extra height/be able to follow through with good form at a decent height. Any of the drills like leaning on a wall sideways with a side kick extended and then raising the leg up and down and horizontally for as many reps as possible will help immensely with this technique as well as for all other roundhouse/spinning kicks.
This is the easiest way to do a tornado kick, I’ve been trying to do this for a month and every tutorial has such a hard to follow way, this one is the easiest tutorial to follow. Its so easy to learn off your channel!
@@SenseiSeth ruclips.net/video/YJwBYQAKENk/видео.html i did it :) thanks again. now i got another kick to practice. im on IG as well. going to post this video there as well and bigging you up for the demonstration video

Thanks sensei! i been tryng to train martials arts for almost 3 months and this is an easy flyng kick to learn! here in latin america is hard to get martial arts classes :/
I thought i knew how to throw a tornado kick, now with your advices im gonna be waaaay better at it Btw, what do you think of the kyokushin rolling kick? The do mawashi kaiten geri
I have a really bad cold and chest infection and want to turn my life around, so i've started looking up martial arts and came across this kick. Time to go do this in my garden.
Just like I learned in Poomsae in TKD. Thank you Seth. A kid asked me to do this kid and I hadn’t done it in 22 years and I somehow did it perfect. I came to see your video to make sure it was called a tornado kick. I learned from the right leg starting with a step forward to switch stances. It covers a little more range but your video helped me learn the left leg with having to do a switch so thank you. This was in my red belt Poomsae as a Jr in ATF TKD. And I spent many many many hours getting it perfect step by step like you explained.
these vids are helping me expand my striking repertoire as a mma/muay thai guy during all this quarantine stuff, thanks! Any plans on making a vid on good solo drills for increasing kicking control and mobility?
I know this is 3 years kate but I’ve been into mma for like 2 months just practicing kicks at home and I legit learnt this in like 30 minutes not perfect but to where it’s comfy. I was just trying it for fun and to see how hard it is but I actually can do it amazingly explained!
Great tutorial. FYI, in our style at least, the crescent kick version is actually a different kick. It's usually paired with a "normal" crescent kick as a set up to the spin.
No it didn’t save the livestream sound!!! He was like what you gotta do is spin all the way and make sure you land properly and also #tornadokicksdontwork
Another one to add to the watch later list, so that after I get out of the cast I put myself into learning the 540 kick, I can get another one trying this!
I have always found this kick much easier to execute from a ginga because you're kind of already positioned for it. Once you get used to the ginga, the kicks that come out of it are much better placed. I've always favored taekwondo, but capoeira was the style that forced me to conceptualize how to place that strike. I would say it's the easiest out of the more advanced techniques in capoeira.
I have a base with Shorinji Kempo and I feel like this movement relatable because I always base all of my kick and punch on my joint like elbow and knee movement and this is super relatable and helpful. Now my problem is to how so I can make more variation and somehow stumble upon this video Now i doesnt have to worry, to Taek Won Do next I guess
I'm getting much better at simple spin kicks where my base leg is planted throughout (hook, side, back), but I find on any spin kick that requires jumping or transferring from one base leg to another my head gets off center and whips around in a big circle, throwing me off balance and making me dizzy. Got any tips for how to make the world stop spinning when I stop spinning?
