2002 audi Allroad air suspension oring replacement

These are Arnott air bags, not original audi bags. Feel free to ask questions. I usually respond within an hour to a day. 2001 to 2005 allroad had the same suspension. My lower o rings that seal the bag housing to the strut decided to start leaking. Drivers side came with 2.5mm orings in it. Passenger side came with 3.5 mm orings in it. Eventually both of them failed. I went to my local hydraulics repair shop and worked with the guy till I found something that would fit and seal. The first time I did this job was a few months ago, on the drivers side. They are Arnott air bags so I assumed they were original orings in them. I had them measured and replaced them only to immediately leak. Eventually we upgraded from 2.5 mm orings to 4mm x 80.mm oring. The groove that the oring sits in is 81mm but he couldn't get that size for me. So the stretching of the 80 mm oring Brings the 4mm diameter down slightly. They fit tight and don't leak.

Thanks for the editorial, did just that and fixed my leaks.In addition i also added push lock 4mm hose fittings on the bags themselves wrks good now👍

I wrecked Tha car last October. It's been sitting in my driveway for 15 months with no battery in it and it's still inflated all the way around. Rebuilding will commence later this winter.

These are Arnott air bags. I'm not sure if the original audi ones are the same. But all Allroad from 01 to 05 should be the same. It's just a question or weather you have original Audi or aftermarket Arnott.

Any ideas on the size of the o ring inside ?

On the oring I didn't take apart? Remember it's an Arnott airbag and not a Continental / Audi. If you need, I'll go bang mine apart right now and measure it.
