There is a store in Missouri, called The English Shop. The English Shop is proud to be the only specialty shop bringing your favorite, high-quality English imported items to Missouri.
Since 1984 we have been proudly serving our customers from our shop on Historic Main Street in Saint Charles, Missouri. Family owned and operated. Over 32 years of service.
I didn’t know this fun shop existed and we only live down in Wildwood. Definitely going to be visiting 😃!
This is one of my favorite shops in St Charles!
We frequent LITP, and appreciate similar within Missouri. We're of course coming from Indep. Mo, will be visiting you soon!
Don't worry about losing your accent after all these years in the states. I'm from Iowa and no matter where I live I still don't have an accent

Washington woman here and I have been watching your show since the start. The fish throwing is at the Public Market in Seattle where I was born.

You were born at The Public Market? I bet that's an interesting story! 😅

Illinois here. Me and 3 sons. So maybe the number from Illinois could be multiplied. Also, if dead people vote, they can watch lost in the pond.

Washington State anglophile here! Yes, weather/geographic similarities does have something to do with why I latched onto your channel.
I visited my daughter in Washington last year and they definitely do throw fish. They throw the same fish all day long. It's a really big fish!
I’m NOT in jail, I’m in Arizona.
Love to being in Arizona. I miss it there. Not the hot areas, but Eastern Arizona. 😂

No. That’s what you’re supposed to say about ALBEQUERQUE - New Mexico.
Literally everyone I know in the state of Pennsylvania watches Lost in the Pond, which works out to roughly 1 out of every 1 people that I know in Pennsylvania watches Lost in the Pond.
G'day from Australia,
Yes, it is real. Pike Place Market is the home venue of that fishmonger family.
They sell alot of fish because of their fish tossing showmanship. I grew up there.🤗💚 I live in Florida, now.
I'm in Washington north of Seattle, and was happy and surprised that our state ranked first! Your videos are so erudite and funny, and you do bear a strong resemblance to my late husband, who was a well known software developer in Seattle, back in the 80s and 90s. Cheers!
In the late 60s Boeing was building a supersonic transport, and thousands engineers moved to Seattle from England, when funding was pulled many did not return to England, so we have lots of Brits who live here, descended from those engineers who loved living here & others who moved to join them
And ironically it was England (Well Britain really) that actually built a supersonic airliner that flew for 40 years. The bigger irony is it was an Anglo-French collaboration in the same way the American War of Independence was an American-French collaboration.
I remember when the funding got pulled from Boeing and the meme was “Will the Last Person Leaving Seattle please turn off the lights! Not a problem now!!!

Washingtonian here, in Vancouver. The original Vancouver and we have a Fort to prove it! Been to London several times and Scotland, and yes it looks exactly like here only older and shorter trees. Just started watching you this year, so I had a lot to catch up on. You are welcome.
I live in Cascade Park. Funny coincidence.
Have you been to the original Washington in England?
My husband was from the West
Midlands in the Birmingham area of England. He moved to Birmingham, Alabama to live and work with me.
How interesting. Many of us who have lived in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK, love the place. I’ve often wondered if those from Birmingham Alabama feel the same. With your unusual perspective of both, what do you think of the two?
How does he pronounce Birmingham?

Washingtonian :) We do have the same dry sense of humor as Brits but with standard American customer service and the American nodding and saying “hi” to strangers. Only about a 1/3 of Washington is cloudy and rainy, unfortunately.
American customer service? You mean like saying 'Have a nice day now?' in such a way that it actually ruins your day?

(My apologies to Arthur, who's a cute little bugger, but I'm crazily in love with cats and horses.) It's wonderful how many people love Lost in the Pond. You definitely need to get to Oregon, and more than just the airport, though it's pretty snazzy. 😄 Our climate is similar to Washington's, including the West side/East side divide, so you'd feel right at home on the rainy side. Keep on talking; thanks much for doing so. Bonus thanks for not mucking up the pronunciation of Oregon in some crazy way. :snerk:

Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle does indeed throw fish. The amazing thing is they always catch them! Just want to thank you for the laughs! I love this channel! Hey Blondee may I ask you some questions about your English ancestry of Utah
@@zakariyashakir4091 of course
Fellow Utahn of English ancestry here!
I would guess the English ancestry is so high in Utah because of the Mormon pioneers. There were a lot of people who came from Britain (especially England) in the 1800s because of the religion, and many of the church members eventually migrated to Utah. That's at least been the case for many people I've spoken to here about English ancestry.
@valdezjones That sounds right. Aside from one great-grandma, who came in the 1910s, all of my English ancestors came with the pioneers
Same here
Watching from Minnesota! 🙂
The fish tossing thing is true, but not all that exciting really.
It started because they had no short path to walk between the display side and the cutting/wrapping side of the market stall, so they would toss the fish. Later they added some showmanship.
I hail from Washington but I was born and raised on Maui Hawaii. I was in the military some years ago. Six and a half years in Germany and two years in Italy.
I did spend a weekend in London. On one of the windows of one of the numerous fish and chip shops there was a sign on one of the windows that read ‘English spoken here, American understood. I watch your videos all the time. You’re hilarious.

I'm actually a dual British-US citizen but have lived in the US most of my life. Hope to move to the UK some day. Cheers!
Lawrence, what do you think of Gillian Anderson? She has dual citizenship USA and Britain, and when she's speaking to British people she has a British accent, but it turns into an American accent when she's talking to Americans (such as the show I know her from, "The X-Files", which was on when I was in high school (graduated 96)) 🙂
She was awesome in the British series Sex Education. I like her more with the British accent.

Hello from the Poconos & the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania
Hi from California!!! My husband and I enjoy your RUclips channel!!!
What do most of these states have in common? Long periods of time that people spend indoors due to lousy weather - dreary rainy (Oregon,Washington), bone cold (Minnesota, Wisconsin), lots of snow (Michigan, Ohio, Illinois), and Missouri has beastly hot, humid summers as well as icy, damp winters.
I’ve also lived in many of the top 10 states - Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
