A litlte bit about us ..
Is it possible to TRAVEL YOURSELF HAPPY? Let's find out !
We are the Cookes, Nicola, and Nigel. We love to travel. In 2018 we bought and converted a VW Transporter van and spent 3 years traveling around the UK and Ireland. At the time we also travelled with our beloved cat, Guinness. She was 20. Sadly we lost Guinness in Feb of 2020 and then well the rest of the world went to pot.
After a few 3 month trips to northern Spain and France, In early 2023 we sold our property back in Ireland and hit the road full time. For the remainder of 2023 we explored Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
2024 plans are being formed and we look forward to bringing your guys along for the ride.
This channel will primarily focus on our travels, with the odd smattering of photography and food thrown in for good measure.
    Travel safe.

If I'm not mistaken, the building with the holes in roof in Methoni's castle, was baths

Not to sound like I'm judging, but I would rather explore a Greek ruin with Nicola rather than Nigel. 😂
This was a delightful vlog. Nicola, the smile on your face and your overall enthusiasm was a 5.5!
    Happy trails.

Thanks for the tour... I like old forts and castles though it looked pretty hot to be walking around old ruins.

Heat while exploring ruins is what almost summer travel in Greece is all about. Fortunately, you're often close to water, so a cooling dip is often possible.
Love, love, love the historic sights and scenery of rural Greece. 👍

@@denisemahood9162 Come to think of it, I'm a bit of an old ruin myself. Thanks for the tour again. I enjoy your posts.

Well, you got to see the medieval ruins but it seems you missed the oldest ruins in the area which is the Bronze Age Mycenaean palace grounds near Pylos. Dated in the second millennium BC and compared to them these medieval ruins are positively modern.
