Don't do Engineering from a bad/private college (only really good private colleges are exceptions), complete your B Tech from a reputed govt college and be really skilful and industry ready with respect to your branch

Tough hain, but it depends on your home state. For example, if you are from Delhi and are OBC then you can get a decent branch in NIT Delhi, or oof you are from Punjab then you can get NIT Jalandhar, all depends on how good your NIT ranks in the country, cutoff of the NIT and you being from the same state of the NIT or not.
