Weber kettles can make a barbecue chef out of anyone. I have one that’s 22 years old and I cooked on it this week. Get one and join the fun!

Big fan, but I wonder when you will make a proper cast aluminum or 304 stainless steel cook box for the Summit. It is by far your top of the line most expensive gas grill but the worst in durability. I recommend to everyone to stay away from them as it is not if but when the cook box rusts through.

      Burns through. Not rusts through.

@@muzaaaaak Burns through because heat / cooling cracks the enamel, then rusts. Then burns through the front of the fire box and makes the grill dangerous. For their top of the line grill that costs thousands you would think they would correct a design flaw that has spanned decades. I have replaced their fireboxes and it is not a fun job.

Not exactly true. Many models are made overseas now. Not saying that is bad or good. Just tryin to keep it real.

I don't think so. I work at the factory in Huntley, and while I haven't seen all of it (it's almost a football field wide by almost 3 football fields long, so almost a quarter mile!) I thought this too once, but no, the grand majority of them are made right here in Huntley, Illinois, by humans, with some robot help, 24/6, about 302 days a year. Obviously, there are some parts not made here, not only cost ineffective, but good luck finding companies here to make them here, I reference the grill igniter as an example, or the magnetic catches for the doors, or screws, etc, but the good majority are made here, and we assemble here.

@compudude86 Thank you for clearing that up. I have been wondering if the charcoal kettel grills are still assembled in Huntley. I really like those grills and hope Webber keeps making them in Huntley
