Because they’re a diesel tuner and the car is a Tracktor.

@@1PotatoeMasher1 I get that they are a diesel tuner. By my username you will see that I also am interested in diesel's having done plenty of track days in tuned tdi's. Almost 20 years ago I had a MK2 golf with a MK4 TDI, 2 turbos, and over 220hp, so I know a bit about them. For a car that does lots and or road work and some track days then a diesel makes some sense. But not as a track based car that does some road work.
For a track based car I have moved from diesel to petrol. It just makes sense. You can drop a turbo and injections, fmic on a 1.8t and make 300 hp with a map. Want more, then a set of rods and you can make 400hp. Want more, then pistons and valves. Traction is a serious issue at that point. Torque has less relevance on a big open track like the ring. Torque rules on the road and for rally's. Horses for courses.

We beat all the petrol cars in our class most of the time with less consumption and 'easier' to drive. But not to say petrol cars don't have their uses, maybe if all out power is your goal!

A diesel engine need a lot of air . Those filter will give but dsnt protect much its sad . The other thing is air inside engine bay get hot so density get lower . I have a air filter box that take air from fog light . I have air intake temperature around 20°c and outside temperature 16°c . This heat is from the box getting cook inside the engine bay

did you measure the vacuum inside the airbox? this matters more than temperature

@@DarksideDevelopments I know . Iam connected on the ecu air box with a 80mm hose and 90 mm to the fog light plastic cap . The filter is 160x178 with a 100mm hole . Ecu hot air and outside mix was a concern but dsnt seems to do anything . I would have more idea to optimise density but I want to keep it budget and sleeper .

doesnt freshly rebuilt engine need some break in period? You guys just basically put together fresh engine and already ripping it as hard as it goes. Seems bit rough innit

It was already run in but will get better if it keeps getting hammered for a bit, compressions are already 450+psi
