How long does the blurry vision last. Ive been on steroid eye drops for a week but my vision is still blurry. The one affected is only my left eye and the cause most likely is IBS.The doctor prescribed me drops to dilate the pupil but i have not taken them. Is it really necessary as i am still sensitive with light. Also how long do i need to take the drops to dilate the pupil(i forgot to ask this question to the doc) ?one more thing, i have dry eyes. Need ur help..Thanks Doc😊

Hey Preety, thank you for sharing your experience with this condition. It is always best to follow your doctor's medical instructions. In terms of what cycloplegic (dilation) eye drops do, I talked about it around 6:15 in the video, in case you want to check that out. As for the dosage of the eye drop, also best to ask your doctor, or the pharmacist who dispensed the eye drops to you as they may know more about what instructions were written on your eye drop prescription. The thing with uveitis is, the severity and length of symptoms may vary between individuals (as shown in the three cases presented at the beginning of the video), and how each person responds to treatment could also vary. Your doctor observed your eyes under the slit lamp, so he/she would know your case the best! As for dry eye, you can always start with over-the-counter artificial tears such as Systane or Refresh. Dry eye is a big and trendy topic right now as more and more people are being diagnosed with dry eye disease, more treatment options are also coming out, so I will definitely do video(s) on that topic in the future~
