AI Body mocaps or some VR mocaps online or software can do a decent job but there are issues and not perfect but this Rotoscope method and video is important because it gives you accurate results , the only drawback is that it takes more time to do animations. If they can make a Rotoscope plugin to match the video that uses AI technology , it could work.
I'll be honest. Working in iclone 7. Rotoscoping that way. Its not as snappy and intuitive as Iclone 8. There is more of a work around. To get it work in iclone 7. Its nicer and less hassle in iclone 8. But since I can't afford iclone 8 at the moment. I still can do it all be it more of a hassle and less smooth performance. Tip: Use the x ray view on the character. Its the cube 3d icon next to the lock and eye display icons. It helps allot. I can see the big improvement in performance with Iclone 8.
Could you please tell me what video format you are using. Im trying to use a mp4 video as a reference but iclone 8 always give me a codec error and tell me that the video format is not supported and to try another format. I tryed Avi format same thing happened. I found that very stange that it dont support basic commun video like MP$ can you tell me the format you are using please??
@@OjiEdutainment I hope they will fix it. It seems that the format dont really mathe but more the way it was encoded. i took an mp4 and i went on a site that convert video files to any format and with this method it seems to work. convert your video till you find a format that work
Hey DJ- Fantastic stuff! You have a new subscriber. Curious I tried doing exactly what you are doing and Iclone 8 isn't animating in- between my keyframes- any suggestions?
Interesing..and I respect ypur patience and tenacity..but this is a waseof time in Iclone..there are alot of easier ways in Iclone to animate a run cycle already built into Iclone 8. Just add a run motion clip..and the adjust the body positions with edit motion layer to match your video without having toimport the video and go frame by frame
I know! I use them all! This video is just to demonstrate that you have this tool as well! What if you need a specific animation that’s not provided in the Content section or something that can’t get animated with the animation tools! This is just another option!
Instead of moving the character? But I needed to set the character to be the same size of the character in the video! How would creating a new camera do that? Please explain!
@@djjuanito3863 so you just move the camera around till the characters in the right spot. so when you animate the bones, the root stays at 0,0. you can switch between the camera and preview view modes to see your character, switching back to the camera view to animate if there was a scene where you needed the character positioned specifically, this isnt that useful, but if you just needed the motion, its super useful cause your character will always start at 0,0
Yep, I will be using *this feature a bunch!!!* Awesome video reference *for sure!!!🤗🤗🤗*

Thanks for the info appreciated 👍🙏
This is a Roto of the side. It will be useful to see a Roto of the front also. Thanks

I'm using the trial versions to test it out before i buy it
Iv been doing the acculips by hand instead of using the a.i. and its looking way better. I have to move to doing this aspect soon.

Ok i found the answer MKV seems to work.
I’m using an mp4, frame size 1280x720.
I get the same message when trying to import video clips. It worked before I installed Iclone 8. Hopefully this can be fixed.
@@FulguroGeek Even when importing an mkv file it says "Load Video Error".

Hi did these feature all come with iclone? do you have to like pay for another third party plugin? :) (like the rotoscope)
It comes with iClone.

It would be nice to duplicate your problem, I’m sure I could figure it out! I need to know exactly where you’re running into the issue!
Can we use an animation we will make here for metahuman?
Question: Should i Animate the Body like this with video then do the face animation or Face first?
You might want to animate the body first then the face, that’s what I would do.
how do u remove the video once ur finished?

I’m working on it! It’s a little tougher than I thought! Looks like there might be a part 3 too! I will deliver lots of useful information and tips!
no part2

you could have created a new camera and placed that instead of moving the character... that wouldve kept the character starting at 0,0,0
