Oh my gosh I freaking love cEDH. My homebrew build is getting better and better and not only can I actually do stuff in games now that matters but I’ve recently won a bunch of games. I need to pick up a few more things but it’s almost where I want it to be, at least as close as I can get. Hopefully when it’s finished I can play you guys one day, you all have such awesome decks

Some wicked fast games. Alex is a very strong player so no surprise with that first game honestly. Joe is a good player as well so good to see him get in this.
I dont know how that makes someone a good player? Looked boring, easy, and familiar.

interesting to see a staxy build of it but i feel like your average turbo naus/blue farm decks will just blow through it
i try to make sythis work but i tend to play it more stormy

I was just saying it's not my personal preference on how to play Sythis-- my approach to the deck is completely different-- but was impressed with how it played. Take your weird direct aggression and fuck the entire hell off instead, please.
@@ecclesiaandune687 My preference is less stormy and more an all-out lockdown on artifacts. Can't turbo so well if your rocks and treasures aren't in the picture!

This is definitely the case. Lol. This is my first cEDH game with a very not cEDH build. Sitting at the table, all I could think of was "I know Kinnan decks are scary and Enchantress decks like to.... draw and gain life" lol. Also, Joe was very intimidating and it was my first time meeting him. I didn't think I'd die immediately. Lol. Oh well! Live n learn!

This was shot at a convention. So we are at the mercy of convention lighting.

Is there any lists for a budget version of kinnan?
I like the fact that she can double mana and cheat in big creatures.

Update: I forgot to say the list doesn’t have to be cedh just a edh list! Lol
Use proxies
cutting out the expensive lands and rocks like cradle and diamond will reduce the price but the deck will probs be about 1k. No gilded drake, or pricey counters will reduce it further. There are no budget replacements for these cards but it will make the deck cheaper.

With Cleric Class Joe should have gained an extra life from the nature's claim but I don't think it mattered for the game lol

I know right? I've been playing Krenko for some time now (my list is not cEDH) and firstly the curve is way too high. Most expensive card should not be more that 5, and fiery emancipation is basically just 6 mana for plus 2 power. 35 creatures is just too many. Myriad lanscape in cEDH? Nah, shouldn't be in there. No fetches? No crypt? Not even any fast mana? Lack of much interaction? Comet storm over shatterskull smashing? I question the cEDH-ness of the deck, but I love Krenko so I like the deck. I find it hard to focus on the TCG player decklists though, and I don't know how to see the sperate "spells"(ie. seperate instants, sorceries, etc), so it's hard to see what's what.
@Theodore Alkro Lol so, this is my first cEDH game I've ever played and it's definitely not a cEDH deck. I've edited like 25 cards since this game and since I've gotten the itch for cEDH. Hopefully this isn't the last time you'll see Krenko but this is the last time you'll see this build. Lol
@@SylverDreamer85 wait were you the one in the video? I’ve been thinking about building a separate deck list for krenko that is more attack based because it can win cEDH games by surprise because my built is a bit more combo focused around snoop-kiki lines
@Jagged Peak RL yeah, that's me. My updated build has the Snoop/Kiki option but since I try to run with multiple options, I don't think it'll ever be a super competitive build.
I think I'm like, really strong casual or low competitive. Lol. I'm really looking forward to being able to play on PWP with my updated build sometime

Am I missing where Alex is getting all his blue mana for deadeye navigator? I've watched like 4 times and idk where he's getting the blue for its cost since priest of Titania only taps for green
Okay lets look at the timestamps:
11:28 - I have Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone, Island, metamorph(Mox Amber), spring leaf drum open,
11:34 - I tap Fellwar to cast fynhorn, tap Fyndhorn to cast Priest.
11:45 you can see here my Spring Leaf Drum is now tapped. That is where the double blue came from.
All is well. But I too had to look into it to make sure everything was where it needed to be.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG ok I missed the springleaf drum that would do it. Like I followed the rest of the mana except the blue

Agreed but he did have the Mox in hand so it may have just been an oversight.
yeah that's a good question lol
didn't have any mana open it seems unless he had Crumbling Vestige or something similar in the deck that makes mana even entering tapped or possibly a Spirit Guide/Petal. Certainly lots of options but none on screen
EDIT: wait figured it out - elves got doubled by Kinnan
He had 1 green mana from Fyndhorn elves. Since it makes two green from kinnan. So the tropical island, and fyndhorn elf made Green, Green, Blue. He cast thrasios, leaving one green floating.

@@tiffanybasner4396 yes, it's just as fine as losing to a craterhoof, infect, infinite drain, infinite creature combo, infinite mana into walking ballista or thrasios etc. etc. etc. etc. If you aren't playing cedh/high power, your group probably shouldn't be playing those kind of win cons unless they are hard to assemble in their particular decks. But in cedh/high power it is absolutely fine and if it annoys you, it should make beating it feel that much sweeter
