Woohoo! Feels good to be Number 1! Haha! And yes! And million times yes! That is totally a great addition to the list. I love the way leather ages and becomes a unique individual.
I worked my own leather belt when I was a kid. My dads buddy owned a leather/tack shop in Caldwell. It was a very fancy belt, lol. Have always worn leather since then,
@@SurvivoTek unfortunately I do not. My dad cut it up to repurpose for something he needed at some point. and unfortunately, my last belt also came from one of the big box stores and I need to replace it as well...
Pro tip: always wear a belt long enough, punch extra holes if needed, so that you can buckle on the end hole when dropping your pants at the toilet so your knife, gun, flashlight etc doesn't slide off and fall. I wear my belts with a minimum 12" or longer tail.
I believe leather is the best for a belt. Where it is worn, it needs little to no care as your sweat and dirt are applied regularly from live adventures. Unlike say the sling to a baldric knife sheath that probably isn’t worn 24/7 which will need conditioned from time to time. A good thick belt (13mil or greater) ,a well made, one solid piece of leather, not layered is key to longevity of the belt. My belts were made by Appalachian custom leather ,2 years every day wear, at least 100 years left in them lol
I do love leather. It just conforms perfectly in shape and only gets more comfortable with time. I was thinking of trying to get a belt from Travis, but I think he isn't taking orders currently.
Oh yeah!! When I'm just sitting on my porch, I'm trying to film in 4K. Does it look better? I really ought to get out and film a bushcraft overnight in 4K. That would be fun. A stitched gear belt is the goal of all true bushcrafters, just like Fjallraven pants, so I wouldn't feel too bad about that. Haha!
@@SurvivoTek it looks loads better on my 65”. Definitely clearer. I had my oldest daughter compare the 2 and she could tell a difference too. That would be awesome to see an outdoor video 4K
You failed... The perfect ending would of been standing up with just your underwear on to shut off the video 🤣 Would of been hilarious. I agree , I need a new leather belt. I am using a nylon right now and HATE THEM. They are always loud.
Finally first again! A good belt is a wonderful thing. You forgot #3 on your list, leather develops its own character as it ages and gets used.

Been considering buying the Popov Leather belt in natural. Thanks for the review.
Awesome! Glad I could help!

That's so great! Do you still have that belt? All my leather cheap belts I used to buy like at Walmart would tear after a year or two.

Aw, dang! But I guess it was immortalized into a new project, right? Need a new belt? Can I recommend a Popov leather belt. 😉

Can you replace the hardware?
Love my leather belt, Mine is from Red Wing boots.
I just looked it up, and they make some great looking belts! Do they carry your knife well?
@@SurvivoTek Yes, All knives I've had fit great on it. And it's very durable for stropping as well. Their work boots and shoes are awesome as well.
Is that the heritage brown color?
I believe so. It's been a few years since I got it, but that does sound about right.
Is it a softer leather?
Yeah, I'd say it's pretty soft. Not as bad as nylon, but definitely no gun belt.
