Thanks for sharing. I sometimes get comments that since this is a knife channel that I should stick to knives. But while this is predominently a knife channel I do sometimes choose to do videos about other EDC items and it's good to hear that there are folks that appreciate the non-knife content.
@@CanadianCuttingEdge I appreciate the non knife content personally, and enjoy your insight and analytical approach in general. I was a little surprised to see it at first on this channel, but the same aspects that we look for in knives apply here as well. There are huge variations in materials, construction methods, and overall fit and finish to be had, and a lot of it is handmade and hand stitched. I was happy to see you review such a high quality, readily available piece from a great company that is extremely well regarded by their corner of the niche hobbyist community as well.
Nice. Full-grain leather products are so much better than the modern junk made in factories. It seems only small businesses are using full-grain leather these days, and it's cool to find out that these Canadians are using high-grade American leather and not some cheaper stuff from overseas.
@@gavinCZ Actually, that is a genetic thing. I got it from my mother, but it does help with grip. I'm left-handed for writing and eating but fairly ambidextrous with tools, so that right-hand pinky comes in handy (pun intended).

Yes indeed. I worked as a framer/carpenter for a while and then as a finish carpenter early in my working years.
