Such an impressive collection of Game Gear accessories! The one thing I can't be without is the Master Gear Converter. Genius! I also have a very cool retro Sega Game Gear branded soft carry case too (almost like a satchel!)
Cheers dude, that was 2 years worth of collecting! I also had a couple of soft cases but they didn't make the cut for this video and they didn't come in a box!
@@retro_restorations I was genuinely wondering how long it would take to achieve this level of collection! The vibrancy of all those boxes and how sturdy they still look. A lot of love has gone into looking after those. A collection to be proud of 👏🏻👌🏻🥰 I'm super jealous 🤣
Dude, right? I don't remember it even being easy to find these accessories anywhere in the U.S. I had a Game Gear in like 1993 I believe when I was 9. Definitely was not the easiest system to find anything for lol...not even at Toys R' us.
I wish I had the AC or DC adapters, good lord was this a battery eating machine! And they only had NiCd rechargeable batteries back then which did not hold a charge worth a shit, and also took FOREVER to charge. Man did we get spoiled once lithium ion came out. My friend traded me his Game Gear with Sonic, Sonic Spinball, and Mortal Kombat 2 for stuff I can't even remember. Just because I can't think of anything I had of value back in the day.
Thanks for sharing your game gear memories 😊 yeah I used rechargeable batteries back in the day which would get me one way on the school bus with the power pack getting me back! Then the batteries went in the charger when I got home and I was tethered to the ac adapter which actually has a really long chord.
In the standard boxed game gear. Am I correct in saying you got the wrist strap instructions and warranty card. I'm trying to find all the complete paperwork for my basic boxed edition. Many thanks loved the vid.
Hey Ben, I think the wrist strap and instruction booklet was always in the boxed games gears. For the warrantee card I’m not 100% sure if it was in the box or provided at time of purchase. The reason I say that is I’ve seen different ones including the ones from Virgin Megastores back in the day. As they are harder to find complete, I do personally tend to add them for my own or mint boxed ones though. Hope that helps!
I'm pretty sure there is another official carrying case. I'm not sure where it is at the moment but I should have it either at home or at my parrents home. I can not find any picture of it online. Its also a hard plastic case but a totaly different design. I think it had a spot to store the portable battery aswell. It's been such a long time since I took a look at it, but its the case I had as a kid.
You are probably describing the Memorex carry case. That's the one I also own but it's not a Sega boxed accessory (it's third party) and so doesn't feature in this video :D
@@tylerbarnaby2712 no they are different sized carts. The closest thing to that is the Sega Nomad which was a portable Genesis. These have been some modern takes on it recently too 👍🏼

@@ShockerTopper Yeah, definitely not as prolific as accessories for the Game Boy!! I would have killed for all of this back in the 90s 🤣
I use Krikzz's GG everdrive with mine. Every Master System game is on it and ready to go.
That Carry all is awsome I love mine.
Sega does what nintendon’t😁
What a time to be alive!
The packaging of the USA releases had much better shelf appeal than the bland UK versions.
I do like the vividness of the US boxes, but I think the UK versions are more timeless and they look much better when together sharing a common theme.
Cool colection 🤙
Hey thanks for that,. I really appreciate it! I do love the Game Gear :D

I have the Game Gear carry-all new in box. Box has been opened but has never been taken out.
Very nice!
