Great video as usual buddy! You took a risk and it paid off big time! Great condition box and insides, lovely looking console on the outside and repairable on the inside! Always a given that the capacitors will need replacing, but the fact you've also found yourself with a bangin' screen too! No lines, bleeds or dead pixels! Great stuff!! Nice one! 👌🏻👏🏻 Always love a GG restoration vid...those insides are so familiar to me now 😂

Love this comment dude. I guess the Game Gear Gods were smiling down upon me after my years of sacrifice lol!

I have the lion king edition boxed console. Found in the wild complete at a recycle centre. Since then I started collecting for it. I have some valuable Game gear stuff, bunch of sealed games and stuff. 👍 I even bought a Woody Pop game gear cart off you on eBay. Nowadays I have that on a multicart bootleg. 👍

Hey did, I remember our chats, great to hear you are still collecting for the Game Gear. There are a few people with all the complete boxed games but I know it's the last 5 or so that are really hard and expensive to get!

I actually got a bit carried away and re sold a lot of it. Like you though I managed to keep the good stuff. Good Video.@@retro_restorations

Haha! Snap! I've purchased some great stuff from this legend too! I also have Woody Pop, a great game, but Devilish is more fun...same deal, but actual enemies to kill as you bounce your way through levels 👌🏻 Did you grab your bootleg GG cart from Etsy? Think I might have the same one; Sonic Blast, Rock Man (Mega Man), Woody Pop, Alien Syndrome, Galaga '91, etc., etc. Pretty decent selection of games!

Hi there... I have about 5 multi carts for game gear I love them. Mine dont have megaman, some of mine sport the shoddy reset button. I have a 16 in 1 that has real good SMS games on there. @@Venison_0904

Great Video as always man. I have two complete in box that Im going to try and hold onto. But I really need the Metal Bracket Stand. Sometimes I just fire up a game and watch it cycle through the demo and music, Good ones like Ninja gaiden and Streets of rage. I never see the metal bracket/stand any more. I'd love to find a few.

Thank you, I appreciate the support. Yeah it's quite hard to find them loose. If you need them you are more likely going to find them with the boxed TV tuner as they came with those.

👋🏻 I have one of those metal bracket kickstand things. You can have it! I don't use it, it's just sitting in a drawer unloved. If you're willing to pay the couple quid postage, it's yours 👌🏻

Not all models are the same, best versions are the ones sold in USA, they have the improved d-pad,careful because these use polarity inverted and smaller plug.

Yes you just need to lift one of the legs on the chip. From memory I think leg 9?

Ha,the Game Gear, that wonderful Master System turned to a 60hertz portable device that was years ahead that shity grey thing !

Best way to store game gears,is with this styrofoam box because its insullating and protects the system.
