The Aztec goddess was definitely utilized wrong but she was actually foreshadowed. In the prologue before Jack gets bitten, he talks about the book he's reading and its about her, the mask and the Deadman
That's an interesting detail actually. Because as you usually do with Jack, you don't look that far into that unless you already beat the expansion once.
That’s pretty lacklustre foreshadowing though. If not for that one instance then that entire twist just seems entirely random. Then again the story is kinda intentionally bad so it’s fine.
@@SaberRexZealotYeah the corny writing and horror movie tropes really sold it for me. Bigfoot and John thinking he eats babies lives rent free in my head. 💀

remember when people thought RDR2 was going to have a vampire themed dlc because of that one side quest in saint denis? That would've been perfect, throw in some werewolves and a Frankenstein reference and that would've been the king of horror games.
It really bugs me they never did any single player DLC for the new Red Dead game. I understand the online stuff makes a lot of money same with GTA but for the people that actually want to just play the single player stuff it would be nice.
Shark Cards for GTA online are basically printing money for Rockstar. They don’t need to put the effort in and all the people who would have liked to have all been moved on. I think GTA 6 is going to be rough

Wanna know what's tragic about RDR2? Rockstar was adding player-requested features for Online up until a certain point. The trader role, for example, is something I suggested back a few months after the mode came out, back when the way to make money was by doing missions and skinning whatever animal you came across (back when you'd see one animal once every 5 minutes, if you were lucky). Dude, I just imagined if RDR2 got an Undead Nightmare dlc, that somewhere near the end of the main story, where everything looks bleak and hopeless, zombie Arthur showes up with the "unshaken" theme playing in a dramatic moment. Where he starts moving towards John, like John's about to be brought down by his dear friend, before Arthur starts fighting alongside him to get him out of harms way, and help John and his family escape once again. Fuck, I wish Rockstar got their heads out of their asses.
I always have viewed Undead Nightmare as more than just a "zombie game", it leans heavily into mythology in general, the Four Horses of the Apocalypse, Unicorns, Chupacabra, Bigfoot, it's great. That's what I was hoping for in RDR2, not just zombies, but something more unique. Or a GTA aliens DLC, but with a ton of science fiction blended in.
If it's any consulation, 500 individuals with a low percentage of biological ties is the bare minimum for propogating a species. So those sasquatch were almost certainly on their way out anyway.

Bit of a nitpick, but in I Am Legend they were vampires, not zombies. Afraid of crucifixes, can't be in sunlight, the whole deal. Love the video, just frustrated how everyone gets the "monsters" so wrong, even in the movie.
Yeah I should have clarified on that a bit more instead of just saying "stemming from". I meant that the script for Night of the Living Dead drew from I Am Legend. But looking back on what I said, it does sound like I just meant that I Am Legend was zombies lol. Good call on that
After playing all of GTA4’s DLC, I was so excited to play Red Dead Redemption’s quest after they announced it, and I loved it. Can you you all imagine my disappointment with GTA5 or RDR2s DLC? Yeah…
I am Legend isnt about zombies but vampires. Days Gone does not have zombies in it. If you actually played the game you know this. One shot to the head is the lore on how to kill zombies and it does not bring this game down for staying true to that lore.

Shorter videos are fine IMO... This is another one of those games/expansions from that first generation of console gaming that I missed (and in this case was completely unaware even existed) after making the jump to PC gaming and never looking back. The big foot quest made me cry the first time I saw it
Bro had my like the second I heard his choice of background music.
After listening to your thoughts on Undead Nightmare, I believe it was made for zombie fans. Any zombie fan I've ever talked to about the game loved that zombies died to head shots.
Wake up babe, Salt just uploaded
aye if you got a short vid now and again im just happy to see you upload.
Haven’t watched it yet but I’m going to love it
Love the use of Undone, great song there.
He thinks he can just upload this like a regular schedule… smh… lol
Yes
Next question.
The sasquatch mission makes me want a whole weird west 1st or 3rd person shooter.
The Bigfoot quest is one of the most memorable from any game I've played.
@TheSaltFactory u gotta do Okami
Played this game again Halloween of 2020 all the way through and man did it feel good; not gonna dive into why, but I thought id put that out. Also, what’s that song in the outro, it’s really good!
That's "The Outlaw's Return" from the base game of Red Dead Redemption, but I slowed it down a little bit to fit the video better. That part of it starts at about 3 minutes in. Gotta be one of my favorite songs from Rockstar's games.
Dear. Mr. The Salt Factory,
Thank you for the video, I greatly appreciate the work that you do. Maybe it is your vibe, or maybe how you keep it real, but you have driven inspiration in me. For that, I am very grateful. Thank you for doing what you do.
-MrKerplunk.
The dude at 12:25 is awesome lol
It was a short one, but I prefer my salt in small doeses
I was hoping to see this video pop up at some point, and once again, you succeed! Awesome video as usual 🔥
never really played the story mode of this, but i did play multiplayer a bunch, enjoyed runnin around shootin zombies in the graveyard with randoms.
I totally forgot about the horse that makes zombie heads explode! It was so OP it trivialized the enemies because I would just run through them and they's pop their noggins right away.
I did like hunting the chupacabra. I wish they had added Undead Nightmare to Red Dead Online, it surely would have emhanced the experience
Yes.
Nice use of COD Zombies music in the intro love that song.
Dying for a ghost of Tsushima as good as we remember from your perspective. There are a few but they only do play by play of the story with minor inputs you really breakdown and improvise story beats you would think make a beneficial impact. You also explore all the mechanics which is very appreciated! This video is fantastic as always.
Is 3 years old not a bit early for an "As good as I remember"? Not that I would not like a review.
Never played this. Great to experience it through Salt's take.
I love this channel.
