I enjoy making a variety of nettle soups . There’s many recipes , and I’ve seen a few online but I like a plain British soup - it uses leeks and onion sautéed in butter , potato since about the 16th -17th century . A good stock and fresh young nettles make a delicious , nourishing soup. Nettles are rich in iron and vitamins .
I love nettles so much, they are a very cherished plant 🌱 in my personal practice & I also cultivate it in my Witch garden by my compost bins & water butts. I haven’t eaten any yet but do drink it’s tea 🍵 I also add it to comfrey to soak in water to create a wonderful feed for my other plants. Lol 😝 I’ve been stung several times from dried nettles while crunching them up. I use the stinging dried ones for protection magic. Great video thank you
I remember having a bit to much to drink (not really drunk but rather really tipsy) and had this brilliant idea to go ride my bike between the fields. I passed a tractor road with a ditch full of netles and decided to take a rest. I tried to put one foot down but somehow lost my balance and weeeee, down the nettles I went!! Lucky for me, only one side of my body got stung but I was sober in an instant. A bit of little red bulbs on my leg and arm. Ouchie. It was discomfort for a bit but it soon passed. :) I love nettles somehow. I always heard, from when I was little to now, it's "good for your blood". :) Sometimes I drink tea from the dried leaves or collect the seeds that are consider some kind of super food by some. (harvest in fall if I remember correctly, while they are still light green.) Not that much, but on occassion. Thanks for the upload!!
I think my son and I were stung by nettles many years ago but I couldn't identify the plant. We remember it to this day because it was so painful lol. I bought a packet of seeds to plant this spring along with some other herbs and "weeds" that I haven't found growing naturally here (W. Oregon). I enjoy your videos!

Nice this sounds like it would work in my backyard. I'm always searching for woodland plants
