Have same type of setup. Ran the cables inside. Also would add that the breaker manufacturers recommend pressing that small button when returning that small arm to in position. Great vids. Keep em coming
Thank you for these videos. I'm in the process of outfitting my '95 4WD Suburban and your videos are very informative...especially the links to the components you're using. New subscriber.
Great job guys. Obviously an insulated blanket around fridge makes a big difference also. Thinking of doing something similar in front cab of Earthcruiser to keep Ham Radio and new Radio install off main starter battery. Do a real life test and let us know how it does. Stay safe 🍻🍻
Great video guys we always love your videos, you work great together. Are there any follow up videos on this system? How’s it been working out for you guys? Anything you would’ve done differently? Thank you.
Great info, so creative. As always, the B-role had me laughing. Unless you’re creating videos, I don’t think people understand how difficult it can be to link your brain and tongue.
Nice work guys 👍. Simple and clean. Excellent work on the wiring In a recent video ASPW from 4XOverland talks about voltage drops due to connections. Would love to see the voltage drop flow of this setup in a follow up video. I.E. voltage at the battery, at after the breaker, at the input junction of the panel and then the fuse box in the panel.
Great video! I have a Tacoma and looking to do something similar - but not with a dual battery set up... Would you recommend this schematic to simply run or charge while driving without fear of it draining my battery?
How do the Amazon components compare to higher quality components that you’ve used on other projects? I’m wondering if Powerwerx products are worth the extra money.
I know very little about batteries and such. Going to do a dual battery on my fj, but im building a trailer to put my rtt and stuff on. I want the trailer to have a battery and solar. Is it possible to have a connection between the fj and trailer to charge the trailer battery while traveling??
Absolutely! When we did our 4Runner dual battery we made provisions for just that. we ran large enough cables to the rear to accommodate the extra 25amp to run a separate dc-dc charger on the trailer.
I'm just a bit confused on how I'd connect my whole system together... Unlike in yours, that you discarded, I do have a master switch. I have the same fuse box and USB ports. But how do I connect all the USB ports to the master switch?
@@jonnybkuehl878 It takes something more then a "normal" set of crimpers. The terminals are very HD. We actually made our own out of an old set of bolt cutters. You could get everything ready then offer a ten or twenty dollar bill to a local car stereo shop to do it for you.
The wiring looks great. Always wondered how long the battery would last also. Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks for the info!
I loved the video! I just wish I could do a video for a Silverado but my wife, while Lovely, is an Introvert! WELL DONE!
I like the Anderson Plug disconnect. Very convenient.
It really is!
I like that setup. Nice workmanship too.
Thanks 👍
Love your videos, VERY informative and reasonable for us budget minded enthusiasts 👍👍
Glad you like them!
12 beers... 11 beers... 10 beers... lol. Nice install guys, I used the very same panel in the rear of my 76 Series Cruiser, made life so much easier.
Good stuff!
You two are a great team.
Thanks!

Love these videos! Copying it all for my Bronco!
Right on!

Great execution, on the build and video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi guys, I happen to be planning out something very similar. This helped solidify my plans.
Great video guys we always love your videos, you work great together. Are there any follow up videos on this system? How’s it been working out for you guys? Anything you would’ve done differently? Thank you.
Great bloppers
Back again to learn a little more , guys, y’all do good with your videos, bloopers always bring a chuckle. Thank You
Did you connect the 12 volts meter on the fuse box ? Not to the battery? Building my system thanks
You guys are amazing. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Thanks for watching!

I appreciate that!

I will check it out!
I like it, thanks. You mentioned you changed the Jack, where did you put the new one and what type
We use a highlift that we mount across the back of the roof rack.
Love your channel, thanks. Inspiration for my 17 4runner
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow so helpful thanks for making this so easy
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for the video. Did you happen to look into the voltage drop from the secondary battery to the rear panel?
You’ve inspired me (again) to take on sending 12v to the rear of my 4Runner. Can you tell me the size fuses you used in the fuse block? Thank you!
very nice job; much appreciated PJP
What group battery are using? Thamks
Awesome videos! Thanks for the simple explanation
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video!

Without the on/off switch, wont the ports draw power even without anything plugged in?
Yes, a little. When we're not using the panel for days or weeks, we typically turn the breaker under the hood off.
R-e-m-o-v-a-b-l-e. Removable. Heh, heh, heh. Great video. Planning installing one in my crosstrek overlander soon.
Great job on the video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video guys 😎♥️🌹💪👍

How do you like the 12v sockets? I have the same ones and they're horrific... Always loose etc.
They seem fine to us, not too loose.
Couldnt you have grounded to the frame back at the panel instead of running a ground from the battery
Some people do that. We prefer to have our two batteries completely separated from each other.
parts list please, great viedo
duh, got it, thanks
how is the model of the fridge ??
It's a BlizzardBox
Quick question for y'all. How did you connect the tips to the wire of your Anderson plug? Soldier or crimped? Thank you J&C kuehlkuest
We always crimp these.
@@WanderlostOverland Thank you. Any particular crimper you recommend?

Oh wow.
NEAT!
Removable 🤫😷🤧🤒🥸🤣
That was a hard scene to get through, lol.
Oh my gosh, for the life of me I could not spit that word out! Some days it’s just like that. 🤡 -Merri
Lol it’s all good 🌹
Another great job you 2!! I emailed SDHQ to see if the terminal block will work for our application. Need to start somewhere. J&C @kuehlkuest
Good luck!
