Love this band...seen them a bunch of times. There is nothing like a live Midnite/Akae Beka show. If you're lucky enough to live in a city where they're playing it's an easy decision to see them. I use to travel to see them since 2009.
I live in Syracuse and would drive to Vermont, NYC, Boston, etc. to see them. That's when they used to play 3 hour long shows. Eventually, it became 2 hour shows and now I see that this show at SOBs is only 1 hour long. That's just too short for me to justify all that driving, gas, etc. Oh well, at least I got to see them in their heyday! :D
Also, I noticed the drummer and rhythm guitar are different. Did they have a band member change?

I think that Vaughn was not well and maybe sick during these days. Midnite used to play 3-hour long shows and this show was only one hour.

I miss the drummer. The sounds were totally different then. Maybe the sound engineer is missing too. What's up with the sounds. Akea Beka was all about clean bass and sounds. See their earlier shows.
