I would still take the Spartan II configuration in the current Halo timeline. Remember that by the end of the Banished war the S2 technology was already 30+ years old. The S3’s were military only technology, and the S4’s I think could be assumed had help from the military industries of the time. So if I could be 14 in the 2570’s when humans are getting good at integrating Forerunner tech, yeah, give me the Spartan II treatment all day.
Personally for myself I’d pick the SIII Augmentation set. Being 6’6 as is I have no doubt the augs would push me past the 7 ft threshold with zero risk. Even if it meant I was weaker to begin with once my body developed fully the deference in strength between the two would be negligible

While I agree that the GDF8 gene deletion would be suitable to produce significantly extra muscle mass to the Spartan 2s, I disagree that that alone would be sufficient to produce the force we see them exerting on a casual basis. I like how you touch on the enhancement of connective tissue, because that would be incredibly important to maintain their skeleto-muscular structure. If the Spartans were able to recruit more muscle fibers to specific tasks, this could be a reasonable answer to the question of power. But, I would like to propose a more interesting hypothesis. It’s been talked about once before on this channel, and hell I’ve even made a comment, about sarcomere (muscular motor unit) enhancement. Under the Elite Autopsy video, I linked an article about half length SMs producing approximately similar, albeit slightly less, force than normal length SMs. The idea that sarcomere density affecting and increasing the power output of a muscle is possible. I think that the Spartan 2s must be given some sort of promoter that influences the sarcomeres to split in two, not doubling the length of the muscle but doubling the amount of sarcomeres along each myofibril. I believe that would give the Spartans the exponential increase in strength we see from them. I will admit, I don’t know how that solves the decreased lactase recovery time, but it’s a start. It appears, also, that doubling the sarcomeres might also nearly double energy requirements from mitochondria. Yet I think this wouldn’t be much of a problem, as our physiologies are very adaptable and might be able to produce sufficient amounts of these organelles. Or possibly, that was part of the genetic screening that Halsey was looking for, humans with greater potential for mitochondrial adaptation. Who knows, it’s fun to speculate.
While I am an adult now, so I couldn't do the S2 and S3 augs even if they were real, I would still choose them if I could. Now if I could have the S2 procedures, but also have the muscle reshaping of the S4s for more leverage (and even more strength), then I'd happily add those too.

Can we really justify allowing 8 billion plus to pass in a Covenant attack on Earth!
i think the 4's augmentations are only weaker initialy, needing 7 years for total cell replacement until an augmentation degree equal to a freshly augmented s2 or 3 is reached. buck still has a few years till he will be through augmentation maintainance and hits orbital drop survivability
I agree with this theory. As much as I love the Spartan-IIs, the idea that they are the most "godly" generation has always seemed ridiculous to me. Humanity has had centuries to research augmentation technology, and the Spartan-II program is nearly half a century old. It seems very unlikely that they couldn't achieve the same results with adults by this point.

With a few outliers i.e. kurt who apparently weighs 160ish and jorge who i believe is 140. Just wondering because those are the weights I thought they always were as stated in lore
I'd go for the 3rd augmentation. I won't die from a heart attack but I'll also remain strong.
2. Either i die, which isnt a worry for me(not depressed btw), or i become more than ever,
I would go with spartan 2 along with the muscle grafting and other fine tuning from the 4s
SII of course!
I will be second to none. When I was in the Army at 18, I weighed 190 lbs at 6'3". Up to that time I played every sport, except skiing and rugby, after breaking my leg play baseball. I refuse to risk broken bones. As a freshman I was playing at Varsity level. I also played 4 instruments, 5 if you include my voice. In the end Math and Science became my greatest skills. My brother is 6'4" he only played football and basketball, he did not get pushed as hard as my sister and I. Being lazy was not allowed in our family.
The SII was a awesome grooming program, though it was illegal, but it it had not been initiated Humanity would not have been ready. Can we really justify allowing 8 billion plus to pass in a Covenant attack on Earth!
Brains > brawn
Always.
you'd die 😂
@@CantHandleThisCanYa I have 4 degrees.
@@thesurvivalist. Clearly, you have 4 expensive pieces of paper after wasting your time at school.
@@samauroi6817 Dann how did you know, I felt that way?
i think the 4's augmentations are only weaker initialy, needing 7 years for total cell replacement until an augmentation degree equal to a freshly augmented s2 or 3 is reached.
buck still has a few years till he will be through augmentation maintainance and hits orbital drop survivability
@@StarxAder or at least close.
spartan 2 genetics match the best with augmentations.
s3 have lesser genetic gifrs to build on.
s4 are just fit regular people as a starting point of augmentation.
though ca3 spartan 4 like locke exist.
vale, through her father, is most likely cat2
for practical augs i would go with steroid & medicine producing modified symbiotic gut microbes.
Brothers and sisters head the sirens call, adorn your Mjolnir armors and go forth
so if i get naturaly super buffed up, then get a spartan IV muscle augment i can reach the spartan III level?
Did yo changed something with mice settings?
Yes, some new software became available and it messed all my audio settings up so I'm having to tweak it to get it back to "my sound" again.😢
I want to sign up
Compare SIIs and SIVs and its just another reason why Locke wouldnt have been able to touch Chief in that HALO 5 hand to hand.
I think the 3's might be the best of both worlds. They have the potential of Spartan II like strength with very little risk to the augmentee compared to the IIs. You might not have the regenerative capability of the 4s, but it's extremely low risk. There were few dropouts from the 3 program.
Was this done by the AI thing you had talked about in a previous video
Which thing exactly?
@SQTOS not sure what it was called. But I think he done a sgt Johnson video with it as a test and said he might use it in the future 🤷♂️ if not, the narrating skills 👌
@@PhillipHood-x5s Ow shit, ok, false alarm, I thought you where new and you thought that ''The assembly'' .......

I still can't get over how much John towers over Palmer, it is insane.
Gen 2 all the way, fuck it we ball
Spartan II augmentations. because they have more potential.
3
Spartan 2 all the way
hes making these videos so he can do it in real life for project mjolnir
S3 for me
anyone else think the spartan 3 dude looks like jynxi
Music? 13:15
I’d pick 2 I mean I think my heart could take it my doctor said I have a strong and healthy heart. But psychologically oof as much as the UNSC paid for Spartans going as far as kidnapping children the military pretty much owns you till you die or break beyond fixing
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
S-II is the only correct answer
Eyyy.
I would take the risks to be a spartan
Clicked so fast

What a load of bulls
S2 S2 S2 S2 S2
Only second...
Idk why, but I've always disliked the IIIs. I guess they always just seemed like cheap, mass produced knock offs of Spartan IIs.
