I’m dying 😂 this guy almost word for word said Google’s definition of mirin.
U can check but I copy n pasted it here. Mirin is an essential condiment used in Japanese cuisine. It is a type of rice wine similar to sake, but with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content. The sugar content is a complex carbohydrate that forms naturally during the fermentation process; no sugars are added.

@@Bitemybun you basically season your patty however you like then put it in a pre heated pan. Pour in enough mirin that the burger is wading in it. Add a bit of Worcestershire sauce for flavor. Cook on one side for a bit while continuously basting with the mirin in the pan then flip and repeat, adding more mirin as necessary since it cooks down pretty quickly. Put it on a bun and you have yourself one tasty burger

Just looked up the product info on Amazon for "Sushi Chef Traditional Mirin":
Fructose, Sake, Water, Yeast Extract, Caramel, Lactic Acid, Succinic Acid.
I have to say, I'm kind of disappointed with this suggestion. Can you recommend a brand that's the real stuff and that's available in N. America?

Hi Ice Ice Baby :) I wouldn't do it. Add alcohol to the end of the cooking process and you're going to evaporate just 10-50 percent of the alchol. Even the long, slow simmering of an alcohol-laced dish will leave you with about 5 percent of the original amount of alcohol remaining in the dish so it's best not to.

  • @deepermirin5707

Hon-Mirin is a kind of fourtified type alcohol drink. Not rice wine, we can say rice sherry. The major translation is wrong.
And Hon-mirin has 13.5-15.5% alcohol, no additive of salt. I don't understand what you mean sake mirin, but I think you mean mirin which added salts because any alcohol drinks can be classified to "food" under the Japanese low. You need more research to talk what is mirin.
