    We had friends that owned a sawmill in NH and it was a more typical diesel engine driving a circular blade probably 52"-60" in diameter and they cut mostly rough sawn White Pine. They could have never dreamt of cutting wood so fast as this double sided blade band saw, absolutely astounding how fast this machine is.

      They'll be getting much better recovery as well, the bandsaw has a tiny kerf in comparison to the big circular saw.

      Cómo funciona una cinta de doble hoja para no salirse o desnivelarse? Ya que las cintas normales llevan un Valero que ayuda a no desviarse

    As a sawyer running a old handset mill, im impressed, hurdle makes a awesome mill, just a note this mill is a large operation he is sawing grade on hardwood, notice how he kicks out the cant to go to a resaw usually for pallet grade lumber..very impressive

      Right he’s pretty quick

    • @kylequarles07
      @kylequarles07 8 месяцев назад +2

      He’s smooth, not really the quickest. But slow and steady wins the race. I sawed hardwood for 15 years on a Salem 6’ band mill single cut and would saw the logs down to a 2 sided 6” or 8” cant les than 24” wide, and have sawed over 100 poplar logs in an hour, which is getting it!! And my best hour of footage sawed was 14,650 board feet. I miss this part of the sawmill as well as the maintenance, but the lumber industry cant pay nearly enough nowadays. I was at one of the largest hardwood sawmills in the southeast, South Carolina actually. Great video and like the other comments, I could watch him saw all day.

    Beautiful Sawmill for sure I started sawing ON A double cut in 1975 was head swayer on 5 different mills, last one I sawed Hemlock for the Japenese market .mostly sawed Cedar in Marysville Washinton

    That is the most impressive mill I’ve seen yet and I watch these videos.
    Some machines have facets, but not many use a blade with two edges like this.
    That is cool.

      Cleerman builds a similar rig. This Hurdle carriage is made in Moscow, Tennessee and very commonly used in the South for the production of cross ties. There are several astounding videos on RUclips of them working.

    Una buena máquina Carro, es una lástima que no se aproveche al máximo cada rollo que pasan, se ganaría tiempo y saldrían tablas y tablones más anchos, no se puede poner un rollo de casi 50cm. de diámetro y dejarlo cuadrado de 25cm.
    Yo "manejaba" una Sierra Carro (igual a la que se ve) pero se manejaba el Carro con un volante, pero aprovechaba al Máximo lo que puede dar un rollo, (que es lo que tiene que hacer un Aserrador).
    Por ejemplo el primer corte era leña de ahí sacaba 2 tablas de 2" y esa parte aserrada lo ponía hacia adentro y hacia lo mismo del otro lado "volteaba" el rollo sobre una de las bases hechas y sacaba tablas ó tablones lo más ancho posible y ya "canteados" listos para la venta, se gana tiempo y no se lo "marea" tanto al rollo al darle varias vueltas, por supuesto cada Oficial Aserrador tiene su forma de trabajar, lo único que quedaba por "cantear" eran a las 4 tablas de 1", que hice en los primeros cortes.
    Hay más producción y se gana tiempo.
    Lo sé porque fui Oficial Aserrador de Maquina Carro y de Máquina Sinfín con más de 25 años de experiencia...
    Espero que les sirva mí consejo.
    Saludos. desde República Argentina.
