Best practices call for a rubber mat or carpet under the compactor plate to avoid scarring the pavers. Also, I'd recommend a dust mask when using polymeric sand.
I really liked your video! It was very informational and professional. I am surprised there are not more hits! Great camera work! Thank you for the education!
He was showering not misting. I had hell with brick white staining untill I started leaf blowing the excess off, then misting twice in a 5 minute window, then after 3 minutes shower the pee-pee out of these bricks at a shallow angle while leaf blowing the water and sand foam off the bricks. I know that sounds crazy, but trust me it works. The polymeric locking sand is a bugger and clings to bricks like flour to bread dough if you dont do a big rinse and blow. I know it's scary to be taking a hose to this expensive sand only 5 - 8 minutes after you've first misted it in, but seriously it wont all wash out, that's how quick this stuff starts to lock-up. And don't fret that the sand isn't at the top of the joints; this sand wasn't meant to be like mortar joints on a brick wall
How much do you charge for a full service like this? I saw you use water based sealer. I've had many people including customers advise me to use oil base.. I'm in Florida as well and would like to get into this business since we pressure wash. Can you message me some details on pricing?

With all this dust, this man's lungs are going to be filled with a polymeric sand mix, which will cure in the moisture of his lungs and cause health problems over time. He should be wearing aKN-95 mask or construction mask.
Good Morning and thank you for your question. Without getting into too many scientific details, most dust comes from the sand itself and not the polymers. Although wearing a mask is never a bad idea, whatever the situation. If you want more information, please call us at 1 800 465 7325, and we can further discuss your concerns.
Good job!!! Although I would recommend putting rubber or carpet on the bottom of your compactor plate to prevent damage

He had compactor on low speed and let it go slow, not much danger of cracking pavers , he seems to know what he's doing.

Helpful, even after 6 years - thanks
That driveway is like 1300 sq ft.. nice video does the plate compactor leave marks on the pavers when there is no rubber foot on the compactor?
Very helpful, thank you. I think that I will use a mask when dealing with this stuff. Don't think it can be too good for the lungs.
Hi,How many bags did you used for 800sqft?

Your excellent
WHAT EFFECT DOES THE BLOWN POLYMERIC SAND HAVE ON GRASS, FOLIAGE AND SOIL WHICH INEVITABLY GET COVERED IN LEFTOVER SAND???
Won't the blower also blow the sand out of the joints?
@7:50, that's the hole where the weed will grow up out of
We used Polymeric sand and washed out some with heavy rain.
Can we put this on top? Thank you
Ali Ali You need to to spray it real good for a while on a hot day And yes you can ive done it and it worked
very nice work, but not smart to be breathing in all that polymeric sand dust...
A remaining question; if the spray down didn't completed penetrate to the full depth of the paver what's the fix, another wet down?

And expect the joints to crack when driven on and the sand to pop loose, ask me how I know, and it was done just like this. Its a pain in the ass
