Bleibt gesund.
This video is only half as long - I am just aware that some people living far away really miss the sound of the bells, so I thought I´d use the opportunity to give them ten minutes of Sunday morning church bells in this fairytale Black Forest town, at the end of the video. But seriously - how gorgeous is this place?
I always enjoy the narration in your videos. The subject matter and manner of speaking and perfect. Thank you so much for reminding me of the beauty of Germany.
Wundervolle Stadt.
Bad Säckingen looks like another quaint quaint city to visit one day. I absolutely loved the walk around the town and along the river. The Holzbrcke bridge has tons of history from where it was originally built and then modernized in 1700. I would love to take a stroll across the bridge and cross into Switzerland. I had just posted a video of when I was in Switzerland last when I took a friend to trace his family history in Airsdorf Switzerland ( Near To Basel, DE). The church bells are awesome. I can sit and listen to church bells for a long time. In fact, there is a short clip of the church bells in Airsdorf for a few seconds. I put new videos every Monday. Thank You so much for the great work that you do. I can tell it from the heart :).
Oh just saw this! Yes, the Holzbrücke just blew me away. The craftsmanship! It’s lasted sooooo long! 1272 built, then renovated after nearly 500 years….? Wow…!
Hi Sara! Thank you! Isn’t it wonderful there? I was also in Oberkirch, where I could film more actual forest and talk about the legend of the White Lady. (One of my very first videos!) I haven’t disappeared, but I have to write an essay, so I hope it’s ok to not post for a week or two. I don’t know how you do so much with your business and a family!
WOW!!! what an amazing video and perfectly narrated. I am so glad I subscribed. I was watching Magnificant Germany with Darion and saw your post and decided to check your videos out. So glad I did.
That’s so lovely to read, thank you! Darion is such a great guy, too, sending such nice people over to me. Thank you so much, I‘m delighted that you‘re here!
You’ve just won yourself a new subscriber! I am German, I’ve spent many happy years living in the uk and now I live in Spain. I’ve always dreamt of returning to the UK one day but alas Brexit has made that almost impossible. I just love your videos! You take me back to the two countries I love the most at same time, England & Germany. Any chance you could do a video one day about my home-town Marburg?
Marburg is very high on the list of visit soon places! It might have to wait until Spring, because I would like to stay overnight, but I will definitely go at the next chance. Thank you so much for joining me here. I also hope to go to GB next year. I know the feeling of loving two countries at the same time!
Beautiful views & scenery definitely makes me want to visit for sure 🙂 1st time here on ur channel from Kingsport TN USA 🙂 Also @Magnificent Germany With Darion sent me 🙂
Lovely video, as always. I'm curious if the dialects are either sides of the river are the same, or if they distinct enough to tell the Swiss from German side? Thank you for sharing!
@@LaureninGermany Thank your for your reply, Lauren. I always find the language/dialect difference over a short distance interesting. I grew up in Hof/Saale, my grandparents lived 9km away in Schwarzenbach....the dialect was different enough that folks knew I was from Hof. Even as a child, I found that interesting. Sorry.....getting long winded...
@@pgoessnitzer not at all! I am also fascinated with dialects and languages. I studied it to a point and it’s so very interesting. I wish it were taught more in schools to young children, because the further back you go with the origins of languages, the more you see how connected we all are.
