The KJV Clarion Reference Bible, the first new Cambridge KJV Reference Bible for over half a century, has been carefully designed for the modern era to meet an increasing demand for a more accessible format and comfortable reading size. The text is presented in Paragraph (rather than traditional chapter and verse) style and in a Single-Column Format with notes and cross-references placed in the outer margin.
It is typeset in Lexicon No.1, a digital font designed for easy reading and with many similar characteristics to traditional hot-metal Bible typefaces, thus marrying the best of both Old and New. The print is black-letter throughout and the text is presented in paragraph, rather than traditional chapter and verse style, and in a single-column format. The notes and cross-references have been relocated to the outer margin, leaving the text relatively free and unencumbered.
These Bibles include maps and--instead of a conventional concordance and dictionary--a Reader's Companion which offers the key elements of those features in one place. They are offered in a range of superior bindings with Smyth-Sewn pages --calf split leather, top-grain calfskin, and edge-lined goatskin.
    Features:
    - Split Calfskin: Gilt Page Edges and Opaque India Bible paper
    - Top-Grain Calfskin: Art-Gilt Page Edges and Opaque India Bible paper
    - Goatskin: Edge-Lined with Imitation Leather, Art-Gilt Page Edges, and Opaque India Bible paper
    - Smyth-Sewn Pages for Flexibility
    - Printed on ultra-thin, smooth and opaque lightweight paper
    - Side-Column Reference System
    - Black Letter Text
    - Paragraph Format
    - Single-Column Setting
    - Presentation Page
    - Translator's Preface to King James / Epistle Dedicatory
    - 1611 Preface "The Translators to the Reader"
    - Two Ribbon Markers
    - 143 Page "Reader's Companion to the Authorized Version", combining features of a Concordance and Dictionary
    - 15 Full-Color Cambridge Bible Maps
    - Pure KJV Text

@@TheKJVStore Thanks for the review. Do you know of any services in the UK where I can get my name engraved into the back of my King James Bible, in gold letters specifically? Blessings.

You're very welcome for the video. We are so sorry, but we do not know of any engraving / imprinting companies or services in the UK. If we were to find one, we would be glad to comment again for you. God Bless.

I am torn between a Concord reference. (Red letter with thumb index) and a Clarion reference. Ideally i’d have a Concord reference with 8.75/10 point type and a thumb index, if it existed. That would be perfect. Which is the easiest to read? (ie. Which one causes the least strain on the eyes.)

      Hello Trevor,
The Clarion does have a larger font size at a 9 vs the Concord at at 8. However the Concord has a bolder print that maybe easier for you to read. Here is a link to that bible on our website so you can see the page samples we have - www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-bibles/premium-leather/cambridge/kjv-concord-reference-bible.html.
      Blessings,

Thank you. I have since opted to buy (and now ordered) the TBS Westminster Reference bible in calfskin leather. - ruclips.net/video/k1SyS61usLo/видео.html - It has a generous 9.6 point font and a Jongbloed printed, Smyth sewn book block (with good page thickness) and Translators to Reader section, plus it is offered by an online UK bible retailer at a good price. It may may not have the ‘cachet’ of a Cambridge but it seems good value for what is offered without resorting to a Chinese printed book. Best wishes and stay well.

This Bible would be perfect if it included red letters

    • @RoastBeefSandwich
      @RoastBeefSandwich 5 лет назад +1

Interesting they decided to not offer a red letter version. Most of their other Bibles are available in red letter.

Cambridge KJV's go back and forth on Red Letter vs. Black Letter. On their KJV Concord Reference Bible, they actually make both (red letter and black letter). We always clearly mark whether a KJV Bible on our site has the Words of Christ in Red or not, and KJV Cambridge Bibles are available here:

    Hi there,
Love the videos, and I’m wanting to get a study Bible, but I’m not sure what one to get ?
I like the KJV just as it is more traditional.
But then NIV is an easier read.
And I would like to get a black Bible with gold lettering.
I was about to get the Nelson one but it has the silver lettering.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your comment and question. We get asked to recommend study bibles quite frequently. You can watch our various reviews of almost every major KJV Study Bible on the market here: ruclips.net/user/TheKJVStorevideos
It 100% comes down to doctrinal taste, budget, or available features you are looking for. To be clear, we only offer KJV Study Bibles here at The KJV Store. What has actually become our best-selling study bible is the KJV Large Print Thompson Chain - Lambskin Edition:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-large-print-thompson-chain-reference-bible-lambskin-edition.html
You can see all of our other available KJV Study Bibles from here:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-bibles/study-bibles.html
The next best-sellers are probably the Scofields, Common Man's Reference Bible, Nelson, Ryrie, and Dake Bibles. Blessings.

The KJV Store thank you so much for getting back to me. And sorry for the repetitive question.
I will check them out and see what one best suits me.
Another thing which has came to mind is the small personal/ pocket bible I like the thought that of just being able to carry one around, is there any recommendations for one ?
      Many thanks.

There is more than meets the eye when it comes to learning and practicing from the KJV. You will have a good understanding for English words and be able to use them in the real world and those who know like yourself will you come to see.

Is the Clarion thicker than the Concord?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  5 лет назад +2

Yes, the Clarion is 1-1/2" thick whereas the Concord is 1-1/4" thick. But the Clarion is overall a much smaller bible at: 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 x 1-1/2"
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-bibles/premium-leather/cambridge/kjv-clarion-reference-bible.html
Where the Concord Reference is larger and more of a full size bible at: 6 x 8-3/4 x 1-1/4"

I wish I could design my own Bible in NASB. Raw leather, chain reference, tiny type, double columned, rich appendices. Thinline, large print, bonded, paragraph style just aren't features I'm interested in. I'm in my thirties.

What’s the thickness of the paper?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  5 лет назад +1

Cambridge does not list the GSM thickness anywhere, so it's hard to tell exactly. The thickness seems pretty standard with minimal bleed-through, and the thickness and opacity is slightly better on the Goatskin Leather edition over the Split Calfskin. Blessings.
