I’ve got mine the day it came out. Really impressive. But as you said it got awesome before my JHS Superbolt! Huge tone, clarity and silent with high gain. Thanks Bea
I broke out of my usual practise of buying cheap and bought one of these. Day one I learned it is very difficult to dial a bad sound out of the D&M. I love it. Wherever you set the knobs a good guitar sound comes out. A possible exception would be the Tones flat out but who does that ;^) ? Only danger is; it's given me a taste for boutique pedals ... must... resist... Aaarrrgghh!!! Might risk a couple o' bob on a DOD - Looking Glass or a Circle of Tone - Quad Damage but most of my overdrive sounds are sorted now with the D&M.
Aw man, so good. From watching TPS for years now, I'm used to both of their tones, which I love, and when you kick both on it sounds so much like them, right when you kicked Dan's side in, it sounded just like him when he uses his Hamstead, uugghhh I don't need to spend anymore money
I use mine with Micks side as the main drive, into a 800 studio ( for home ) and 800 100 watter ( for Live bigger venues), both have the preamp gain at just past noon, both have the treble caps cut. With literally little gain on either side you can get usable tonal variations. I experimented with a number of other gain pedals in the chain , this pedal works amazingly well with other drive pedals. I have a rook royale and KTR Klon, which I run into the D&M, ( Pedal boost is set to Micks side), the variations in gain are incredibly versatile. Dont be afraid to stack it with other overdrives.
Just to toss it out there, but the Level on BOTH sides has a tremendous range, and this pedal is much louder, even at mid levels, than others I've used. It ... can ... get ... loud. ;) Great demo, Rabea!
Hi Rabea, great demo and playing of course! I’ve had a D&M drive for a few months and have found it to be a great pedal particularly a Strat which seems to give you many drive tones but not lose the character of the single coil. With my ML2 classic and those Seymour Duncan’s man there is drive to pile up into an Everest size mountain. Also the boost for solos works really well, giving you loads of extra volume easily. Great pedal. 🎸👍🤘🏻🎸
For like 5 minutes I thought you were saying the "Mix" side of the pedal and the "Down" side...I was just listening to the video and I thought it had some kind of weird pro audio features.
Excellent demo Rabea. Killer shredding on that strat. Thanks for using a single coil guitar. Sounds amazing as always with your playing. Seems like a pretty decent pedal. I’ve watched a few episodes of TPS and they sound great to me so I think this pedal has to be good. I don’t think I’m wrong from what I heard here but that’s just my opinion. I’ll definitely have to check it out. Thanks man Take care
Thanks man, I've been wanting to decide whether to buy this because it sounds epic on that pedal show but all other demos makes Dan's side sound like it's only high gain so thanks! Great playing too as always bro!
Brian Eckfeld You could say the Angry Charlie side is similar to Dan's ... but Mick's side is a mid frecuencies pusher, so different to a full range overdrive like the blues driver
Hey Rabea, I just watched your video on the keeley electronics Cavern pedal and I loved it so much I bought it halfway through the video. Could you do a video on how you write/play in that ambient style? I'd love to learn how to play that style better.
Just got this pedal the other day. In the battle for one pedal to rule them all, this wins. Seriously, I thought I became a better guitar player the instant I kicked the switch on this pedal. Not sure how Robert included a talent boost in the circuit.
Hi Rabea. I really want to write a track that is similar to the more atmospheric side of Toska. Just something I can mess around with during gigs in between songs. How do you get in the zone for writing atmospheric prog? P.s beard looks great!!!!
I would love to hear this pedal in combination with your kraken (so with a bit of crunch, like you talked about in the video.) Nevertheless, this is a great demo of the pedal man, really love your playing!
Tons of overdrive , and boost pedals on the market. I'd love to try one, but the ones I have give me a run for my tone. This pedal sounds good with you, Dan, Mick, and Mr. Keeley behind it. I've always been thin. It's highly over-rated Rabeard!
Hey Rabea, is there a drive pedal that can mock the Kraken with a clean amp? I love your tone but I haven't been able to mimic it with my drive pedals. Thanks.
Literally just watch for the playing hahaha. Good demo, but I want to hear the shredding.... Also, theres two things stoping me from getting this, I want to buy them separate from each other, and I hate that color haha.
Straight to playing?
Mick's side - 5:46
Dan's side - 8:27
Stacking - 12:34
This is one of the very few pedals that I've not only paid full-price, but it's totally worth it. Sounds great into anything.
AC/DC A/B comparison was awesome. Very clever
I can't get over how rhythmic your right hand is, damn it makes me move around in my chair!
Love that Strat bro! Pedal is good but I'm here for the guitar mainly and your playing.
Keeley never disappoints. Love their 4 knob compressor.
Hey Rabea, I’m really liking your reviews - they are well structured and you are very at home in front of the camera.
I’ve got mine the day it came out. Really impressive. But as you said it got awesome before my JHS Superbolt! Huge tone, clarity and silent with high gain. Thanks Bea
This pedal sounds so great 💜

Too late... you're sucked in now. You can read this comment again in three years and laugh as you bid on a Klon Centaur.
@@watchassassin1014 You were right.
I found a cure for GAS eventually though.
I went broke ...

Best demo of this pedal on RUclips.
I have been lusting and saving my pennies for this one... my lord what glorious tone!
Bought one - best pedal I ever bought.
HELL YEAH THE BEA RELIC IS BACK!!!! Feels like a while since we've been blessed with her presence!! ;)

Good lord that humbucker sound was nuts
Decided the world had heard enough "Dan into Mick" "Mick into Dan" innuendos, eh?
I agree
Moog Sub 37? Good man. Lots of fun, that thing!
You bloody rippa, very much looking forward to buying this pedal
Yep. Its officially on the purchase list.
By the way, you did so good showing off this pedal with the Keely compressor is shall be mine also. Thank you.
For like 5 minutes I thought you were saying the "Mix" side of the pedal and the "Down" side...I was just listening to the video and I thought it had some kind of weird pro audio features.

One of the best pedal reviews I've ever seen. Good stuff as usual, Bea. Filthy Tones for Prez!
I see that moog in the back bea! You should make a video on that shit
sub 37?, yummy.
Thanks man, I've been wanting to decide whether to buy this because it sounds epic on that pedal show but all other demos makes Dan's side sound like it's only high gain so thanks! Great playing too as always bro!
The best od ever heard so far.
BACK AT IT AGAIN!
This pedal is great! A comparison to the Angry Driver would be amazing.
Beard looks dope af man!
I like filthy tones.
-Rabea Massad (2017)
How does it compare to Angry Driver? Playing a Strat and trying decide between D&M and the Boss/JHS pedal.
Brian Eckfeld You could say the Angry Charlie side is similar to Dan's ... but Mick's side is a mid frecuencies pusher, so different to a full range overdrive like the blues driver
10:04 that's the first time i've ever seen that face out of Rabea
I was waiting anxiously for this demo!!! Killing it Rabea!
“...that was filthy!” I love it man!
Ooh. I didn't know how fuzzy it could get! I like.
Dan and Rabea are two of my top three RUclips guitarists. The third being Sam Vilo.
Great video and amazing playing. Thanks!
Dan & Mick Rules!
I love how you use the highway to hell riff to compare the two sides
Sounds great Bea.
Hey Rabea, I just watched your video on the keeley electronics Cavern pedal and I loved it so much I bought it halfway through the video. Could you do a video on how you write/play in that ambient style? I'd love to learn how to play that style better.
Youre great at demos Rabea!
Love your playing dude
RABEARD
RaBEARDa in tha house.
Love your demo's Rabea, you sound really inspired :)
Hey Rabeard, Love your playing style and that etnies shirt!
Rabea, you are like beer. I never get enough of you except maybe late at night when I've had just one too many. Keep up the great work, sir.
cool pedal idea
You're funky stuff is so awesome!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to see a video on his ambient lead playing

I would love to hear it with your PRS! Awesome demo regardless
Gotta come back n watch this demo in full but dude, killin the beard!!! Haha
Awesome I was going to sell mine but considering your show I don’t think so now cheers
Great review. Cheers!
Awesome!
COME TO ARGENTINA!!!
I would love to hear this pedal in combination with your kraken (so with a bit of crunch, like you talked about in the video.) Nevertheless, this is a great demo of the pedal man, really love your playing!
Great review and god dam man I could watch you play guitar for hours.👌
sub 37!?! i knew you wanted one ! Me too especialy after listening melancholia hymns.
How did you keep a straight face saying “ring and tip”
Tons of overdrive , and boost pedals on the market. I'd love to try one, but the ones I have give me a run for my tone. This pedal sounds good with you, Dan, Mick, and Mr. Keeley behind it. I've always been thin. It's highly over-rated Rabeard!
Love it already! :D
I just bought it.... still waiting for it to deliver to me.
Hey Rabea, is there a drive pedal that can mock the Kraken with a clean amp? I love your tone but I haven't been able to mimic it with my drive pedals. Thanks.
Linus Flynn Looks like Victory heard you with their amp in a pedal releases!
Great tones from this pedal. Rabea - any chance of a rig rundown of your home setup? Is that Sub 37 in the corner?
Hahahaha I loved the "I like filthy tones" part!
Beard is awesome man!
Do I need to turn up the volume on my amp to get more drive from the pedal? (I’m new to guitar pedals)
dude, the beard looks great and you've lost so much weight!!! awesome shit dude, stay gold!!!!!
I love the beard man, keep rocking ir
What gauge of strings do you use for standard tuning?
i like how Dan's side is very punchy while remaining stable, as in,m you can still hear the guitar trough the gain
Great tone man! Just a question for you: what cab/mic, setup are u using on the Torpedo?
I've seen some of your other videos with this guitar. It sounds FANTASTIC. What strings/gauge do you use??
Can you use this pedal in front of a high gain amp? Like as a tube screamer and boost?
Hey Rabea,
could you tell us, which IR you are using in your torpedo system?
i'm curious what microphone you use to record your voice. Sounds very full even though its out of frame and some distance away. Sounds great!
+Tony Socci hey man, I use an Aston Spirit microphone. They’re amazing for the price!
I shall get this pedal, just because I'm the guy with glases pictured on it. Absolutely :-)
Bea needs a PRS 594, I think!
Killer demo. I'm sold. Haven't watched you recent vids .... have you lost some lbs? You look great! Peace.
Everyone wants to know... what pickups in the black strat?
Hey man, was wondering what video editing program you use? Cheers
Bea you rocking the Beard
Love the videos:)
hello guys, it's a Beard, how you doing?
I can have this all by rolling back or turning up the volume knob of my Strat
10% comments for the content,90% comments about the beard .
Lol so true. Mixed with 'im honestly only here to listen to your jams, I didn't even know this was a pedal review" LOL all day long
Holy Yikes - bought the pedal.
im looking at that Moog Sub 37 at the back. i'm salivating
do i see a moog sub 37 hiding back there?
Literally just watch for the playing hahaha. Good demo, but I want to hear the shredding....
Also, theres two things stoping me from getting this, I want to buy them separate from each other, and I hate that color haha.
10:00 to 10.10 = your face says " yeah rabea, lets groove on that damn fatty sound"
They should have named that pedal The Boss because that is what it is, the boss.
Im a simple man. I see bea I like
Rabea lost a lot of weight. Good on him.
