Chef all ingredients are perfect... but in our home we beat the dal... makes thin dal and roti too and half cook roti from both sides and then cut and add it to the dal...we add whole peanut ..try this way..my mom taught us 👍
@chefajaychopra the dhokli are thinner than what you rolled out . And dal is comparatively thinner . Coz thicker the dhoklies the longer it will take to cook. And your recipe the dal and dhokli both are so thick I wonder how it cooked so quickly ...

I'm rajasthani I know this dal dhokli. My Mom use to prepare it. You showed in gujju style. But good. 🍅 not necessarily to be used. Only basic ingredients.
Bihar me dal pittha ya pitthi bola jata hai. Big size mean pittha, small size mean pitthi. And ye arhar ke dal me banti hai. It eat with potatoes chokha mostly.

Dhokli takes time to cook at least 10 to 12 min on slow heat.
