Why does the NCAA not just make a separate devision for transgender athletes to compete against one another, surely that would show more acceptance and appreciation to the trans-community, whilst at the same time doesn't take opportunities away from the young women who have busted their asses to get to the level they need to succeed in these competitions. This is allowing biological men to be extremely misogynistic against biological women and they are being given the power to violate women's sports because the people in charge are allowing this.

I would’ve told this man who went through puberty that he isn’t eligible at all to compete in the womens division even if he had so much estrogen that it was visibly flowing out of him.
I respect transgenders and I am for their rights, but this is too much. Enough is enough. We cannot sit here and tolerate _everything_ because we are too scared to speak up. It's no hatred, it's common sense. There needs to be drawn a red line once and for all.
If you are for their rights then you would agree that trans women are real women and should be accepted as women, which means accepted into all parts of womanhood, including sports. If trans women are not allowed to compete in women sports, then they are not accepted as real women.
Listen to my point. My point is you cannot truly say you respect trans rights, and then in the same statement advocate against trans women playing in women sports. You cannot have it both ways.

Why does the NCAA not just make a separate devision for transgender athletes to compete against one another, surely that would show more acceptance and appreciation to the trans-community, whilst at the same time doesn't take opportunities away from the young women who have busted their asses to get to the level they need to succeed in these competitions. Lia looks to be taller and maybe stronger. But clearly she is NOT FASTER. Katie Ledecky beat Lia's 500m time by over 9 seconds some years ago. (That's the race Lia won.) And 5 women were as fast or faster than Lia in the 200m race.

I think that Lia is the worst thing that could have happened to transsexuals. If she looked like a woman, there probably wouldn't be such a backlash to her competiting with other women. But honestly, she looks like a man. She has broad shoulders, no discernible breasts and a body like the letter "T". The fact that she's so tall, 6'1" agravates the situation even more. She enforces the stereotype that all transsexuals look like men in dresses.

I'm over 50 and can pretty much only do doggiepaddle swimming these days but if I could compete against 5 year olds I just might win the prize for fastest swimmer in the preschooler category due to my relative-to-the cispreschoolers large leg and arm bone, hand, and foot size. Any cispreschooler who says that's unfair is a Terp (trans-exclusionary radical preschooler) and I need the Press Secratary if the US of A to make sure they know we transpreschoolers are going to fight back against any Terp bigot!

Folks, there is only ONE thing about that MAN that was TEMPORARILY changed: his level of testosterone. He underwent the hormone treatment for only ONE YEAR, and he HAS NOT BEEN ON IT SINCE COMPETING. The fact that he has a GIRLFRIEND and he HAS REGULAR INTERCOURSE WITH HER is all anybody needs to know when the question arises as to whether his testosterone level is CURRENTLY being suppressed or whether he is a 100% FULLY FUNCTIONING MAN who FEELS AND FUNCTIONS 100% AS A MAN.
WILL Thomas knows damn well that he is a MAN. NO ONE who knew him in school, right up until the year before he took hormone blockers, can vouch for his CURRENT claim that he "felt like a woman." Ask his GIRLFRIEND if he "felt like a woman" while they were having sex then, or if WILL ever once mentioned this to her. Furthermore, I don't believe his claim for one minute that his taking HRT "helped his depression" since extensive studies have shown that males who suffer from depression improve dramatically when given TESTOSTERONE therapy, not when given either hormone blockers or estrogen.
