Tim wrote this song to praise his disabled older brother, who never ever let life put him down.
At the beginning of the episode he said that he wasn't going to cry, because he couldn't. But of course, Floor made him cry👍

Floor honored Tim and his wheelchair bound brother with this tour de force, inspirational and emotional rendition presentation. She has has made this show her coming out party to the rest of the music world. She has shown then what a Valkyrie Goddess of Metal truly is, a women with class, grace, empathy and the most talented non-diva there is. We her die-heart fans couldn't be prouder of her and are honored to call her our Queen. Anyone who experiences this Valkyrie force of nature is a winner!!

Btw, the 6 shows Floor will be doing in january with the band behind are already sold out of course, 24h after she announced them... For an unknown singer in her own country few weeks earlier, it's... not too bad ;-)

Got my ticket for the 1st of February this time, and also seeing Marko few weeks later... I couldn't be happier :-)
Floor announced 6 solo dates in the NL in January, and they sold out in a day, more or less. She's doing them in with this band...so obviously they made a pretty good impression on her too :). BTW, the female backup singer, Lesley van der Aa, went to the same Rockademie school that Floor attended. Small world, huh! And, as of right now, this is #1 on the iTunes charts in the NL!
Hi Kristin. I like your reactions . Floor did another great performance and I loved everybody's expressions especially Tims. All her concerts are almost sold out .
Well each week she has taken a song important to the guest singer and done a tour de force of emotions to honor their song. She has shown nothing but empathy, class, grace and her great vocal versatility on this her coming out party to the rest of the music world. To us, her die-heart fans, she has made us more than proud to say she is our Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and more importantly a great human being to admire and appreciate. She has "goose-bumped" even the professionals sitting around listening to her performances and those who have heard her. She has reminded all those that have heard her that you do have a soul that she stirs and emotions that she reaches and if not then you are already dead and in either case there is no hope for you. For the rest of us we say THANK YOU FLOOR, for speaking the universal language of music that truly unites us as a species and despite all that divides us (Culture, Language, Religion, etc,,) she has tapped that wonderful element that we all share the need to express ourselves with music or at least listen to those expressions and experience them. Great reaction and review BTW as usual but then again I expect nothing less from your channel!!!
Kirstin Floor is going to give six (mini)concerts in The Netherland January 2020, with all the songs she sang last week. And the great band behind her.Next week is the last show with duets.
All of her 6 concerts were sold out in no time. And rightfully so. I've got my ticket btw...
Haha! Don't worry Kristin! Last night I was sitting at my computer waiting for the songs to come in. And I went trough them in order. Soon it was clear to me, that Floor will end the show. And when it came up, my very first reaction was "Yay! She's the winner!". Even though I knew that this show was not about competition. :)
The song obviously blew me away. As I'm not in a wheelchair yet. But every day is a challenge with my spine injury. Then I saw Floor's comment under the video and I just broke into tears. She's just such a wonderful person. I just can't listen to this song without tears in my eyes. And kudos to Tim as well for writing such a beautiful song.

This season is already the 12th season. Its on television for so long now. Every time a couple of the best singers of the Netherlands. You should watch the rest too if you love it so much. Love the fact that YOU love it so much :)

I can understand why you would think that she won but it isn't a competition. It is all just a celebration of the music they all made. And of course Floor took this song and made it hers again. Tim wrote this song in honor of his brother who is disabled and wheelchair bound. But he keeps his spirit high and wont let anything get him down. Tim stated in this episode that he could not cry but at the end he did of course. And that's why at the end he stated "dammit Floor". Sadly enough there is only one more episode to come. I don't want it to end either. But they will go out with a bang for sure.

Beautiful job Kristin! Floor kills it again. I think I have heard that she actually was the winner for this episode. At the end of each show the singer being given tribute to has to chose their favorite performance from this episode of the show. I hope you migraine problem improves. I know it is a horrible thing to deal with and very difficult to manage.

Not really said but Floor who is Dutch is not well known in Netherlands even though super star lead singer with Nightwish. However, her decision to perform in this Dutch show has made her a sensation now in home Country and she sold out all 6 solo concerts in a few hours. It's amazing what has happened and she is now getting notoriety and Fame so richly deserved. She has been singing since teen.

She has been in Finland this week, shooting a new music video for Nightwish upcoming album. I hope they can get this video out this year, cos album will come out next year. Floor said they have done some material, what they have not done before. So, waiting now what they have discovered to us. What she mean by that, something totally new...

You can cry for being in physical pain, and tears for emotional pain. Mistakes? Perish the thought - that is part of the charm of the reaction. BTW after her performances on this show I would crawl through broken glass to hear Floor sing The Carpenters' "Superstar."
Everybody makes mistakes girl. Don't run yourself down. Yeah, next week is going to be spectacular, and depressing at the same time. I wish this show would go on forever.😂 That girl in the band on back-up vocals is always getting into the music. I've really enjoyed seeing her enthusiasm each week.👍
When she's not singing Floor seems so shy having trouble showing her emotions but when on stage she is so into character and shows it all. I love it.

I'm pretty sure you're not the only one concluding that Floor was the winner :-) She is a winner, but that's beside the point here. Actually we the public are the winners as are the singers themselves. We enjoy them stepping out of their comfort-zone trying to touch something of the essence of their colleagues repertoire or interest. That is the clue of this program.
I love your reactions. This show started in the summer of 2009. Still a lot of performances can be found. Some of which are real beauties.

Floor broke Tim, he isnt the type to cry easily over anything, so i call him Tim "the unbreakable".
But even a diamond, has a weak spot, if you know what to look for, that can break it, and Floor found his weak spot, and.. broke him.
She's such a magical singer, they all are really, but Floor has that ..X-factor, the secret ingredient we cannot figure out what it is.
(I love Tim's "DAMNED IT FLOOR" at the end, he fought so hard not to cry, and ... then Floor comes along and ruins it all for him hehehe)
Now, other than Floor, we've established that you adore Henk as well, and the evergreens of music.
Well, one of those most beautiful evergreens, like "sound of silence", would be Don Mclean's "Vincent" (Starry starry night).
And guess what Henk sung tonight.. "Vincent", but instead of the original English lyrics, he used the Dutch lyrics to this song, written by Martine Bijl, a wonderful lady, who sadly passed earlier this year, but who had (among a million other skills) an amazing skill in translating lyrics to Dutch, she knew how to keep the same feeling and emotion to a song, as the original had.
And Henk choose to do her version for Tim, and its... absolutely stunning, like everything he sings really.
I hope you will give that song a try as well, i am sure you'll love it as much as we do :)

I have just seen your reactions on Nightwish and Floor now. And I can see that people are giving you some of the most emotional songs - the ones that make you cry. Floor and Nightwish also do the opposite - they makes you feel great.

Or - you can find the fan video from 2018 from Buenos Aires where they are playing I want my tears back. It's a super song where Floor is dancing all over the stage, together with thousands of the audience. They are having the ball of their lifetime. Although it is a fan video, the sound is ok
And then there is Floor............ Did you notice Henk doing the metal sign with his hands during the part "Raise your hands". That is showing a real sign of respect to Floor. Take care of yourself my friend... :-)

this wasn't a competition of any sort. each episode, they sing a song for the person sitting with the host. some song of theirs, or, something they feel would touch that person.
This might come in handy for you Kristin, next time you want to pause a video, just hit the K key on your keyboard, hit K again and playback will resume. It's way faster then mouseclicks, and eleminates mess-ups. Great reaction though.
