Hey Jake, what specific stretches do I need to get better at the side kicks (around 15:30 on the video)? I can barely get my legs half-way up. I practice and stretch daily but I may be missing something.
Hey Jake! Thanks for the video. Was feeling quite ill and didn't feel like going to the gym today so I decided to do this instead to stop my boding from getting used to just lying down. Was hard to keep up with low energy but I'm glad I did it.
Great vid, sir! The front kick is a personal favorite and a staple of my regular kicking routine, but after this I think I'll add the jumping front kick, I don't practice it enough. More power to you!

I was after a kicking work out to help me get my flexibility back and found this - Well done ! I have been a bit sedentary after 2 rotator shoulder cuff injuries ans have noticed that my lateral flexibility in my legs is what has suffered most - noticed during this workout that my left led is way less flexible than my right but oddly I could side kick better with my left tan my right - I will keep doing this kicking vid routine for a while combined with Nikki Berwick's beginners stretches and my leg stretcher, to hopefully loosen up again - fingers crossed that my flexibly will be much improved with your help in 30 days - PS keep up the good work you are producing great stuff!!!
Great video! I am a runner and cyclist - always looking to improve performance. Had a bout of lumbago a month ago, which didn't go away until I found the miracle cure: the '100 up' exercise, which is essentially a repetitive, alternating high knee raise. After that, I have gotten more into kicking motions and hip/ overall flexibility, something I have not been paying attention to previously. This video is great, it covers a good basic spectrum. Already practicing these! Thanks.

Followed the whole thing. Great workout, surprisingly easy too! Didn't have room for the roundhouse or jump kicks, but will definitely try it at a park soon! :D I combined the kicks with some punches and tiger paw strikes to try and make it more rounded, and damn, I don't think I've ever been as out of breath in my life. Nice one J!

hey jake I train 6 to 9 hours a day in tang soo do karate. it's a more traditional form of martial art so we do locks, counters, grads, and circulator attacks. But we focus more on straight in kicks like this. My one major critique (and I'm saying this because as a martial artist myself I would expect that you would want correction too improve yourself) you need to keep your guards up. not super tight as to restrict yourself, but to defend your head and be ready to use hands if a kick doesn't work. I know this is a work out, but if you train with low guards you'll fight that way.
I didn't know how bad my kicking was until I started do I need to work out more I might guess I'm in good shape but I really need to stretch more thanks for your videos
