    VERY Talented young man!!! And I must say it is quite refreshing to see someone making videos about construction/fabricating from your part of the world, actually searing SHOES, Pants, and protective clothing! You sir are definitely a Professional and a skilled man. I have been a UA local 130 pipefitter/welder for 37 years, and am very impressed with your skills, and stunningly impressive designs. (you obviously had training in CAD/fabrication)You will go far in this world, which is very unusual for your generation. Respect!

    Lem, you do beautiful work. About six months ago I dropped an angle grinder on my leg just like the one you used in this video. In about a second the grinder cut through skin, muscle, tendon, bone, nerves, veins and arteries. It dug deep into my leg, as far as it could go and when I took it out it was still on, because I left the suicide switch on. So, after 40 years experience in metal and fiver glass workshops working with this tool it jumps out of my hands and I would never have believed that this would happen to me. Keep the blade guard on except for the rare exception, use the handle and use safer substitute cutting tools when possible... please take good care of yourself.

    • @Supercukr

      I used this kind of setup before, but even in my small shop I ended up having better experience having separate welding cart and table work better. if you have your machines below your workspace you will end up damaging the outer covers and the hoses and cables will be in the way all the time. But this is a very nice set-up and I will use it as an inspiration in my own build of new fab table.

  • @mrbratt69
    @mrbratt69 6 лет назад +10

    Bad ass welding table bud. You can tell how much thought went into the design and building of this table. I love your lazy Susan or rotating part of your table. I know that part alone is going to get a hell of a lot of use. Really makes me wish RUclips was around when I was doing metal fabrication. I have built quite a few tables during the time I was doing fabrication work, I could have used something like this at that time. It's been 10 years since I've done any serious fabrication and have lost my shop so I have gotten rid of most of my tables or benches. I still have my main welding table which was just a basic table that I got the frame from my Father in law well over 20 years ago. The frame was made from galvanized steel and was sturdy as hell when I got it from him. I eventually cut and welded a metal top made from 1/4", cold roll steel plate that's 3' X 6' which I completely welded all edges onto the table frame worked great for me. Being able to put my ground anywhere on the table and being able to place the piece I was welding onto the table and easily being able to weld on it was great. Especially for smaller pieces that a ground clamp would have been in the way. Having the table top being 1/4" thick worked out great when I needed to persuade pieces of joints together with anywhere from a ball pein hammer to a 10lb sledge hammer. Having all edges of the table tob welded made sure that the piece I was working on moved or bent like I wanted without damaging the table. I wish I had put more thought into like you did to make it easier to clamp pieces down instead of welding clamps to the table top

    •  6 лет назад +5

      yeah. that rotating part worked good for me, actually helped me alot. but the problem my ground goin through the bearing and now it's kind of stuck inside. I have a plan to upgrade it into the automatic rotary for tig weld. with a longer shaft and puly conect to the speed control motor also i can put my ground on it.

    • @mrbratt69
      @mrbratt69 6 лет назад

      Cà Lem That's a pretty good idea, I wouldn't of originally thought the bearing would have offered problems with the ground but I understand why now that I think about it.

    • @HowToTutorialHelp

      If you want an electric rotary for an upgrade think about a foot pedal for it that makes it spin faster or slower from pressure.

    Nice work, lots of good ideas built into that table. I like looking at others' welding tables because they are each different, and tailored for the builders' particular conditions and preferences. I made the mistake of trying to build somebody else's idea of a perfect welding table from drawings once, and I didn't get very far before realizing that it wasn't going to work well for ME. Ended up cutting it up and building something different that did.

    I originally made a welding cart out of one of the smaller shopping carts. I modified the screen basket and lower deck to fit my stick and mig welders and it worked fine for a couple of years. Since seeing this vid I got my hands on a low end typical welding cart and built it up adding storage and a swing out table that makes any job easier vs having to bring the work piece over to my bench instead. Now I have two welders, clamps, hammers, files, masks, gloves and pretty much anything else including several rod tubes all on a mobile cart. Thanks for the motivation, I love the idea of having a rotating surface to move the work instead of dancing around it! Maybe I’ll take on adding a lazy Susan type disc to the folding table next too😉 Thanks for the great ideas!

    Epoxy some magnets on a power strip and keep it on the clamp side of the table for just in case you need to do anything outside so you can have multiple outlets at your table instead of using a bunch of extension cords...

    Hi friend.
    Let me ask you why did you preferred to place a bandsaw left side of the table? Logically if bandsaw is placed right side from table - the longer part of the metal could lay on the table and be clamped in the vise. And another part, that is subject to cut out, could hang freely. In your case the vise holds the part that is subject to cut out. Is it convenient?

    This is fun to watch now that I've seen the 'hammer' episode. Very cool foreshadowing of future projects.

    Good job... When I see You first putting that nice metal-cutting saw on the table I said to myself... "Maybe it's not the best idea"😄... And latter I realized you changed your mind...😄👋👋👋😄... Nice Work, God Bless...

      He didn't "change his mind". Its the way its designed. He can pop the saw up on the table when he needs it. Its pretty obvious mate.

    Hi
    I love your work.
    You are a kind of master for me.
    I would like to do welding as good as you do.
    Thanks for the vidéo...but something is missing : plans.
    Why dont you sell one plan...the plan of this table for example.
    I you do that... IAM your first client.
    Thanks for sharing it is so inspiring.
