Great build... I think I will build one just like it. I have a question though... what kind of super glue did you use on the rubber pads and what did you spray on the rubber just before attaching them? I have never had any success getting rubber to stick to anything no matter how well I prepped or the adhesive I used.
MUY buena calidad, el texto imagenes. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO Un manuel muy completo y trabajado. Resulta muy práctico. Para principiantes y profesionales. Lo recomiendo
I just built one based on this video but went a little bigger and it's amazing. Edit: No warping or problems with heat and I've abused the thing. I do lawn care as my business and make products welding that I sell on marketplace and this thing can deal with 12 hour days of constant heat, though I've only had it about 3 months and only put in a full full days of welding on it when the weather is too extreme to do lawncare.
And I was just today trying to figure out how I was going to make my table top. I dreaded doing it a single plate. Thanks for sharing. Now I know what I'm gonna do.
Bravo!
I just built this table and it looks amazing but I added a pull out tray to catch the welding slag and anything else that might drop between the slats of the table top. Thank you for your blueprint
Wow ! I think your welding table and welding trolley is a better job than anything I have ever seen. Please keep up the good work. Thank you so much for sharing.

Really nicely done. Thanks so much for sharing. The metal would cost us a fortune here in California, but I love the skills in creating a perfect welding table. Thanks again.
I was googling to find a workbench like this and hoped no one would dare to drill these many dog holes and was expecting to have long slots also in workbench. Satisfied seeing your work. This is the topper of all work bench. ❤
Ottimo lavoro.
Nice to see I’m not the only one who has a wood shop along with metal. Nice build, mine is similar yet a few differences. One thing I don’t understand is why you don’t have a cold saw. So much better and faster than using a die grinder. Evolution makes a great one at a reasonable price. Good video though, enjoyed watching it.
Are este proyecto sencillo y perfecto.
Nice job! One suggestion, put castors on the table legs so you can move it around. You can move it to other areas of the shop, and it's easy to sweep under when you move it.
Very important. Load capacity should be a minimum of 150kg per caster. The table itself will weigh between 100-200 kg. The work load would max-out around 100kg. That’s 300kg total mass. Add hammer blows and dropping heavy work onto the table, (impact load) and that double’s the load present - you end up at 600 kg. 600kg/4 = 150kg.
yep. Vinegar for descaling is great. just takes a while longer than hydrochloric acid but is safer for both yourself and your workspace (acid vapours can condense on metal and rust it). After the vinegar bath, I would recommend that you put your metal in a second bath of alkali solution to neutralise the acid in the pores and on the surface, washing in water alone is not enough. You metal may start to rust. You can use sodium carbonate (soda sh) in water. I have even used regular lime powder in water with great success but you have to keep agitating the water to keep the lime floating. Having said all that, I can't see any "flash rust" on your work.
Very nice build. Having built a somewhat similar table, I realized afterwards that I hadn’t left room underneath for my feet and a TIG pedal. Something other new builders may want to consider. Nice table and a very good video!👍🏼👍🏼

i reall like this table, its simple and sturdy and you can hold things in place with the holes. the only thing i would have added was a draw so i would have easy accsess to things i would need like tungsten, caps and maybe some tools. two thumbs up on this
the way you isolated those plates in the vinegar is also a really good idea for a bulk electrolysis rust removal solution, just the kind of idea i've been looking for recently, but in a place I wasnt expecting it, great work
nice job keep the good work going many happy years of welding t come , I just hope you replace the soft mesh on the bottom with something more stronger
I built a welding table for a friend years ago. I built the top out of 32 6x6x0.5" squares of steel plate I found pre cut at a local metal recycling yard. Each plate's held on with 4 M14 bolts coming up through the frame, through a thick spacer tube, and into a blind tapped hole in the underside of the plates. I didn't think about it when I started, but this design meant I ended up boring and tapping ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT bl00dy holes on those damn plates !!!!! I was doing them until I couldn't face them anymore, then having to stop until the urge to scrap the lot died down, then later doing a few more. It took nearly a week before I'd finished them all ! The reason for doing it this way was because it meant damaged plates could easily be swapped around, the plates could be levelled with shim washers, and if he had any old shapes he needed to clamp down it gave him the flexibility to remove plates to get clearance. It also meant that when he moved last he was able to remove all the plates to make the table light enough to transport by himself. The finished table worked great, but annoyingly, when I came to making a second smaller one for myself I couldn't face all the tapping again, so I just welded the plates on mine using vertical stubs of 25mm rebar.
All the people write in the comments, so good job, so good welds etc. Probably they have no idea about metals. This table is an excellent banana welding table. So many welds in so thin beams. The only right way it would be to bolt them all together.

You logged some serious drill time on this one. Nice results with the vinegar!

This is a great table and this guy is very talented. But I would like to point out the mistake I believe he made: he should have bolted the slats down, instead of welding them. Or, at the very least, he should have just left the first smaller tack welds on it. If he isn’t going to use it as a beater table (meaning, he is going to use it as a fixture table, to line and square things up to weld, not to beat metal into submission or grind or bend on) then it really doesn’t need those full 2 inch welds from the slats to the frame. Thats what warped it. The small tacks would hold just fine, especially because he was TIG welding them.
But I still think bolting them would be better, and you he could have made them height-adjustable.
Great table though, and I learned a few tricks by watching it:)
