Oh my gosh, I did too. It popped up on my playlist- and I was going through a crappy breakup, with a cheater. It hit home hard. So good.
I ignored the recommendation for this video for ages...now I listen to it several times every day ...and every time I cry. I have NEVER been so emotionally affected by a performance. I HAVE to see her live.

I've watched about 50 reactions of this song alone... I never get tired of it and I LOVE watching people hearing it for the first time. This was great, I enjoy the reactions from voice teachers because they appreciate Yebba from a technical standpoint and, not being a singer myself, I feel like I learn why my ear enjoys the song so much.

I found Yebba about 2 years ago, and it continues to baffle me how she hasn't exploded. One of the greatest vocalists around, and most people have never heard about her....blows my mind.
IKR? I think that may change in the next year or so. She won a Grammy for feature on PJ Morton’s ‘how deep is your love’ & is working with Mark Ronson. She’s a phenomenal talent.

JLog1c It's simple. She is probably avoiding the trapings of the music industry who'd try to remake her into in to some "pop" figure. One vocalist one guitarist, one mic, one amp and no auto tune, overdubbed, multi looped, drum machine driven cacophony of crap that is presented as a stage show disguised as music. Her voice Harkins back to the 50s and my days the late 60's and 70s. Pure, raw, emotive, primal expressions in music. Claire Tory did " The Great big gig in the sky" by Pink Floyd. The Righteous Brothers " you've lost that loving feeling" many more oh so many. Peace,, love and hope.

Yebba is 25 years old born in West Memphis, Arkansas USA 🇺🇸. Her father is a pastor in the church. Her mother committed suicide days after this performance. Her original song ‘Evergreen’ was in memory of her mother. I call her ‘The Ivory 👸🏻Queen Of Soul. Aretha Franklin being ‘The Queen Of Soul’👸🏾

I was going through my RUclips joints that I put to the side to listen to later. Loved your reaction! I just discovered her a few months ago and it is 2021. So I guess I have been living under a rock! She is a voice of a generation. Beautiful sound, passion and emotion in every note, technical agility, tells a story, pulls you in, breaks your heart and finally takes you to a higher place. To me it is almost a spiritual experience listening to Yebba. Please check out her own Evergreen as well as her collaberations with Ed Sheeran, Clark Beckham, Mark Ronson, Lucky Daye and PJ Morton among others!

I live in the State's and I just discovered her about 6 months ago when she did a duet with Clark Beckham called Gravity by John Mayer, I would recommend checking that out as well the two of them together are a force. You lit in to a gold mine when you found her, shame on me for not recommending her to you! She does some really unique things with her melisma and I live for her raspy vocals! Check out Evergreen which is another song of hers, you won't be disappointed by anything she's done!
