This analysis feels very light tbh. Not up to the usual Cheddar quality. I would expect to hear about attendance figures or the types and quantity of programming produced over time, maybe a showcase of what is happening with planetariums in the modern day. So much more info could have been included in this video.
I visited my local planetarium just a few weeks ago. They were streaming a fantastic presentation narrated by George Takei. It was a work of art and science. I absolutely loved it. The work illustrated near planet objects and impacts. 🥰
Yeah the planetarium in my city closed down in the early 90s. I find many people are not as excited about Astronomy as I hoped. I really love it. Now I know why my planetarium closed.
I volunteer at my local planetarium, it's in a school but run by a nonprofit these days. We just got a new digital projector a couple years ago, and it's a huge improvement.
Man I miss going to a planetarium! The last time I went to one was to see Laser Zeppelin, but my favorite thing was just seeing a standard tour of the solar system.
I have VR, so it's not something I crave to visit, but our museum's planetarium is a cultural right of passage, that generations of kids have visited, and I hope it remains. I really miss the old school projectors, though. I think every city gave theirs a nickname almost like it was family!
Planetaria used to get funding from the military, because they served as training centers for celestial navigation. An irony of our success in space is that GPS has largely obviated that need.
The planetarium in my town has Floyd Fourth Fridays where they play Dark Side of The Wall to Lazer lights and it's fucking siiiiiixxxkkkkk And midnight showings of Rocky Horror around October
Genesis 1:1-3 👑 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light."
Good content, cool graphics. The NARRATION - 🫣🫣🫣. Omg, gurl. Can you slow down a bit and not chew up the end of the words? You got a pleasant voice, but sounds like you are sooo in the rush to spit out the text you reading. Can you do me a solid and take your time telling us a story rather than speed-reading? Btw, not the best mike either. Sounds a bit dull like from a bucket. Other than that- it’s a like from me.

Bruh 16 years
I agree. Feels rushed.
When I was in elementary, we had an inflatable planetarium that they would get out once a year.
Yep yep!😊 I remember that vividly from kindergarten.
I always thought it was a traveling planetarium, but I'm pretty sure my elementary school had the same thing.

I love planetariums.
Chicago's is beautiful.
Was the voiceover for this video recorded via Zoom? The whole mix sounds horrible very muddy and flat vs the music and sound FXs
Yeah, not enough attention paid to the final mix.
Yeah, Cheddar gives us the occasional video with appallingly terrible sound mixing.
Terrible audio, narration is almost inaudible because of the muzak.

The music/sound effects are mixed way too loud compared to the narration in this video
Yeah I was going to comment the same thing. Cheddar can be shockingly hit or miss when it comes to their audio and sound mixing.
Yep, hard to hear what they are talking about, soundman messed up.
The narrator's audio quality is particularly terrible on this video 😥

The Gates Planetarium in Denver Colorado was a real treat to go to as a kid!
Music is too loud
The sound mix is all over the place on this video
Gratuitous music loud and distracting ☹️
talk up mate I can barely hear you.
Man I miss going to a planetarium! The last time I went to one was to see Laser Zeppelin, but my favorite thing was just seeing a standard tour of the solar system.
Back in the 60’s I attended classes at the Hayden planetarium in NYC. It was cool then.
It still is
Cheddar, seriously, you really need to better vet some of your videos' audio quality and sound mixing.
I’m an astronomy major, nothing will ever beat a visit to the planetarium for me, especially watching interstellar on one
I have VR, so it's not something I crave to visit, but our museum's planetarium is a cultural right of passage, that generations of kids have visited, and I hope it remains.

Did anyone else struggle to hear the voice over? The music is so loud.
I can't hear what you're saying because of the music. It's a waste to do all that effort just to mask it with loud music
Did you record the narration of this video with a pillow over your mouth or something?
I come from the planet, Arium!
I grew up going to planetariums and few years ago I got to go to a museum planetarium show that was really good. I love planetariums
I remember going on field trips to planetariums in elementary and middle schools in the 80's
Planetaria used to get funding from the military, because they served as training centers for celestial navigation. An irony of our success in space is that GPS has largely obviated that need.

Why are u talking so fast lol
The planetarium is where they see the solar eclipse without sunglasses. 'Twas the darkest day ever!
Mohegan sun has one of the largest planetarium in the world!!
I’ve never even seen a planetarium IRL. I’ve only ever seen it on tv. Didn’t know that many existed. I have no idea where the closest one is.
Plateriums are way cooler than VR. Way more unique
I love planetariums.
The duration of this video was not a mistake 😏
I think a planetarium would be great today
Isn't a planetarium just an overpriced projector on a rounded screen? Like just because your screen is a sphere doesn't make it "outer space".
Sound mixing is pretty bad on this one
Never been to one i think. Or i was really young.
I blame Southpark
The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum opened it's planetarium. It's basically just a curved IMAX screen.

I was born in 1979, and I have never been to a Planetarium.
Dropoff is the same as everything else. No one can afford it and our attention spans have shrunk.
🥳
I wanna be an architect...
Hire me to edit your audio - because this is terrible lol
Planetarium’s funding have been diverted to CRT studies. Lmao.
Good. We need to figure shit out down here first.
Also, no public school teaches CRT, you clown
We have flat screens now...
@@chcknpie04 whatever you say Tyrone! Hahahaha!
@@baronvonlimbourgh1716 it’s obvious you’ve never been to a proper planetarium. Lmao.
Excuse me what?
LMFAO
