On 26 February 2015, a 24-year-old man took a confiscated car away from the guarded police area at the Veilingweg in Rotterdam. This vehicle has previously been involved in an armed robbery.
Not much later, officers get the car in sight on the Schieplein in Rotterdam. When we see our colleagues, the suspect runs off at high speed. He drives hard and wild through various streets in Rotterdam-Noord.
Units from various districts assist in the pursuit. In an attempt to stop the suspect, police officers block the Gordelweg with their cars. The man drives down without losing speed and the police car bumps in with the colleagues.
He continues his flight unabated.
