I think im stuck in the game. I built my first space platform, unlocked everything I could still on Nauvis. But now im just too nervous to actually goto a planet. I think I have PTSD, I dont wanna be stranded on another planet, it scares me - I want to make a space truck platform that will have everything I need to build a fully operational base right when I goto a new planet. am I over thinking it? probably. can I convince myself otherwise? no.
It helps to make a unique save before any major travel so you can revert if needed, I went through half a dozen reloads before I successfully made it to my first planet. Also, send your ship back to Nauvis after arriving since it's safer and you can easily send yourself more supplies, then have fun with the rest!
@@kaminbanks6464 Thats what makes me wonder if I could just build a space warehouse, send it over and just orbit it with everything ill need for a full base. Seems like whatever I think, I still will have to start on the planet without a rocket pad or cargo hub
@@michaellebert8907 You can actually make a cargo hub and fly it over to any of the planets and manually drop it down. This makes importing any additional materials way easier. I had my first trip to gleba recently and imported everything I needed to launch a rocket so I could go back anytime, while also allowing me to set up things like steam turbines without having to craft them on the surface.
@@michaellebert8907 Not necessarily! You can send all of the supplies with you or in a supply run afterwards to immediately build a rocket pad and cargo hub. You could even drop some roboports and logistics bots, go back home, then build remotely on the new planet if you wanted.
