Wish I could see the truck, instead I got a damn seizure lmao. Chill on the editing 🥴
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I apologize. Video editing is not my strong suit (obviously). I'll be less seizure-inducing in the future. :)
Couldn't agree more.
Wheel offset? Tire width? Are the BFG K/O’s? You forgot some major points IMO.
BFG KO2s
Offset: 34mm offset
Tire size: 315/70R17
Thanks for the feedback!
Good video. But don’t jump cut with the best so often. It’s distracting and one cat focus on the truck properly
Great feedback. Will definitely calm down on the editing in the future!
I’m dizzy
Lol great video, but I agree.... felt like I was going to have a seizure with those jump cuts with the music 🤣
Way to much editing. Choppy and annoying. The idea was to see the truck but you couldn't with all the 1/2 sec frames. Lame.
Thanks for the feedback! Will ensure the editing is toned down in the future. New wheels video just posted... You can actually see the wheels in this one!
Man that's a very cool truck !!! Im glad see that guys are still going for the regular size wheels to keep that real offroad look... if you know what I mean
I definitely do. I love to see what everyone does to personalize their trucks, but I grew up in a household where the trucks looked beefy, so that's the look I'm going for. New wheels video posted yesterday. Would love to know your thoughts.
@James Edward I think that's one of the coolest things about the car scene. Different strokes for different folks. I'm a sucker for big sidewalls, however.
I love the 302A sport package. I sell the heck out of them. I have myself a twin to this but lightning blue. Built Ford Proud
Isn't it just an amazing vehicle?! First truck, but it won't be my last.
@@tstdrvr Agreed coming from a PA neighbor. I have a twin truck to yours only in Magnetic. Think I'm sticking with either a 33x12.50 or a 275/65r20. Subbed for more truck content from another PA resident!
Truck looks great! ...but your video editing is over the top, and not in a good way. Tone it down.
You're 100% correct! Everything on this channel is very experimental at this point while I try to find my groove. Thanks for the feedback.
@@tstdrvr I just didn't care for the music being so loud, but overall great job.
Needs an epilepsy warning..
Video editing looks great to me....love how it broke down to the beat of the song....the video skill is what I noticed immediately.....salute
@@tstdrvr Nothing wrong with your style bro don't listen to this hater.
CHILL with that editing. Gzzzz, just a simple static pic before and after is all that we needed. I got sick from all the editing and never really see the truck after lift and wheels. Failed the only thing you had to show. LOL but still thank you for the share.
Thanks for the feedback! It'll be toned down in the future.
I put 275/60 r20 Nitto Ridge grapplers on my levelled f150 and it looks sick. No cutting or rubbing.
thats a factory tire size on a 20" F150. I would hope it wouldn't rub..lol
Awesome. Love the look of the Nittos.
With the new tires on it , how did it affect your mpg ? What engine does your truck have?
Looks really good. Have same exact truck (color, everything!). Dig the gen 1 wheels. I happen to think the video editing was pretty good! Good job!
Genuinely appreciate that, man. How's your truck holding up? I just started YTing again. New video came out yesterday with more #truckstuff along the way.
Been a few months now how do you like the level and raptor wheels/tires?
Super late response... Sorry. I really liked this combo. I think the OEM Raptor wheels and tires (regardless of style) are a great simple cheap update to the new F150s.
I did just switch out the wheels. New video just posted. Spoiler: It wasn't as straightforward as this install was.
What measing did you do beforehand that gave you the idea that the 35s would fit without trimming???
Very nice truck, even better with the leveling kit and tires. Maybe a whipple supercharger would be an awesome addition too. Looking forward to upgrading from my 2013 to a 2019 and do a build with it next year.
Spencer Peters Have you driven the newer models? You’re gonna love it. A supercharger would be a welcome addition. Hopefully someday!
You can fit 35s on a leveled f150, depends on what brand tire how bad it will rub. Mine is leveled and have 35" cheap comforser tires, barely rub at all, if I had nitto ridge grapplers it would be horrible.
Ramon Viada Jr. I have a 19 F150. 2.5” level. 35x12.5x17 nitto ridge grapplers. Mine rubs bad with u-turns and parking and such. 17x9 wheels with 0 offset.
Great video my friend! The truck looks great as well. I’ve got a 2019 F-150 4x4 Supercrew with front end leveled and was thinking about doing the same thing. What are the exact specs on those tires? Are they a P rated tire that equals around 35” or are they actually 35x12.5’s? Don’t worry about the RUclips critics if you look the majority of them never have any content. It’s easy to point out everyone else’s flaws when you don’t put anything out there.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate all of the constructive criticism. It was over the top, I know that, but it was a lot of fun to film and edit. I just need to tone it down some (or a lot) in the future. How are you liking your F150? Did you end up going with bigger tires? These are actually 315/70R17s so 34.6" I think. When I posted the video I didn't know that they were just shy of 35s, but you live and you learn.
I love my F-150 so much when we pay my wife’s explorer off next year I think we’re going to get another one. I want it to be a 3.5 EcoBoost. I haven’t got bigger tires yet. I’m still trying to decide on what size I want and what types of rims/offset. There’s too many choices!!
Summary, yes 35” tires fit your leveled 4x4 f150 if you drive it like a Toyota Camry!
Good point- I think you answered my question. How does the truck handle in real life situations with 35’s ? Taking bumps ext while turning? Appreciate any feedback and recommend tire size
perfectly done
b rolls are fantastic
Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Still learning, but I'm having fun...
Thx was looking for costing to put a leveling kit in - good looking truck!
What gearing does your truck have? And did you change it after the new wheel setup? If not how does it drive? Feel sluggish?
Good question. The truck has 3.31 gearing. I haven’t changed it. I was afraid that it was going to feel like a dog after reading all of the comments online, but it’s not that bad. Granted, it’s not as fast as it used to be, but it’s still completely fine for every day driving.
Video was way to busy it made me dizzy. Would it be running if the tires were out wider like if you had wheel spacers? It’s to skinny looking for me personally.
Great vid. New subscriber here man. 👍🏻
Have u retorqued all the components after the leveling yet?
Best video on RUclips for what most need to know when leveling and adding tires! How is the leveling kit, would you purchase it again? Same brand?
The leveling kit is fine. It does exactly what I need it to do. If I was purchasing again I'd probably go with a 2.5" leveling kit or just jump head-first into a 4" or 6" lift.
Thinking about leveling or lifting my 19 Xlt not sure thou, but cool video and edits were on point!
It's been a while since you posted this. What did you end up going with? After installing my new wheels (video just posted yesterday) I'm thinking that a lift may be in my near future.
All good beside those tires. They got to go. At least put KO2 but I would go with WILDPEAK A/T3 E rated
Good feedback. Funny enough, I just put Wildpeaks on in my latest video. Check it out.
Nice truck, did the ride change after the leveling kit was installed with stock tires? Thanks
Zak, thanks! I didn't drive on the stock tires for more than 15 minutes, but there wasn't a noticeable difference after the leveling kit was installed.
TSTDRVR Cool!! Thanks !
So, how does it ride after a few months now? I want to do the same setup & it looks pretty good.
It definitely rides "like a truck". I just switched out the BFG KO2s for some Falken Wildpeak AT3s and the ride was noticeably improved. Don't get me wrong, I liked the BFGs a lot, but as the miles added up they became noisier and then wet weather performance was really degraded.
The OEM raptor wheels and BFGs are a great affordable upgrade for the F150s IMO.
I know this is an older post, but, question. Would that have worked with the stock rims and that same tire or do those wheels have different offsets?
Cool video. I’ve done some editing myself. I know you spent a lot of time on it.
Love the raptor wheels!
I’m thinking about leveling mine. I pull a boat so I added airbags. They add about an inch at 5lbs.
What did that do to your mileage? I average about 17.5 mpg in my 2019 ecoboost.
Truck looks beefed up with just some fast upgrades! Looking good. Do you think my 2014 ford fx4 can fit 35s with a front level?
Thanks. It’s getting there.
Whether 35s fit your truck all depends on what wheel/tire combo you go with. There’s quite a few people running OEM Raptor wheels/tires with no trimming. Check out F150 Nation on FB or f150forum.com to get more insight about the setup you want to go with.
From what my mechanic told me it's all about offset and how wide your rims are. Raptor wheels are more stock in width so as long as you have the height clearance you should not have to trim anything. It's when you start adding rims with wide offsets to make the tires stick out more is when you need to trim. Honestly, the wider stance of offset wheels looks good sometimes, but the more tire you stick out into the air stream the more it eats your MPG. I personally like the look of the 2.5in lift with the raptor wheels and tires. I just worry about wear and tear on things like ball joints, etc due to the added weight of 35s. The Raptor's suspension is beefed up to handle that added weight. Also, unless you have the newer 10 speed auto your truck will bog down with those bigger tires.
I had 20x9 0offset 35x12.5 tires on a 2014 xlt 4x4. Only had to trim some plastic on the air dam corners. I had a 2.5" level, in front only.
I recently did the same setup to my 2018: Raptor wheels & tires (technically they're not 35's, they're ~34.4" from the factory). And the 2.25" level kit. Mine rubs bad, both front and rear crash bars. Primarily when backup up somewhere like into the driveway with the steering wheel turned. You probably noticed the same thing after a couple days of driving.
So crazy to read this. In the entire time I've had them on my truck I had ZERO rubbing. I just changed out the wheels and tires (same size, but different offset) in my most recent video... Now, if you wanna talk about rubbing. GEEZE!
What did you do to fix your rubbing?
What was the offset on your wheels that’s probably why
Just signed my life away on a 19, pick it up in 3 days, leveling kit arives in 2 lol
Thenewguy nitto ridge grapplers in 3?
Thenewguy did 35s fit with just a leveling kit?
Late to respond, but how are you liking it?
Hey, what’s your overall height of the truck. Ground to roof? Thanks.
Awesome video.... Can you tell me what the offset and back spacing of your wheels you put on??
nvm. I just read a comment lol 34mm Thanks!
Looks great! Any issues at all so far with steering or struts, etc?
No issues whatsoever. It's been a really maintenance-free setup for me.
TSTDRVR sweet!
Truck looks bad ass. Are you able to park it in your garage? Any issues running it thru a car wash?
I put a 2 inch level on my '15 with stock 18 inch sport rims. Perfect level and still can go through the wash so I think you'll be good bud
No issues with a garage. The thought of taking a black vehicle through a car wash though... not gonna happen. It'll fit though.
So I understand the leveling kit, now if you add a 2 inch lift kit, do you still need to level it? meaning would you still have the rake by only adding a lift kit?
The 2.25" leveling kit kept a slight rake, but not enough that it's noticeable.
That looks awesome! I’d like to get a pair for my truck and possibly move away from 20s! Not quite sure yet...
Late to reply, but what did you end up going with?
TSTDRVR I went with the Bfg KM3 295/70/17 so roughly 33”! I did a video kinda similar to yours on my channel! Very happy with them so far!
Branden Lopez nice. Going to check out your video now...
Very nice and btw great looking truck. As another suggested over the top get a headache from the video editing but I see you addressed that Lol. Good luck with truck and channel. Do you have any updates on the build or driving experience in general? looking to do the same thing. Thanks again for the ideas and video. How about follow up video or maybe you did that already...
Btw liked and subbed..
Thanks for liking and subscribing! I just posted an update video where I swapped out the BFGs for some new wheels and tires. Would love your feedback on that video too.
1.Are you going to put a new exhaust?
2. Will you be putting a supercharger in the truck or leaving it stock ?
Manufacturers have been using turbos for decades on gas motors without sacrificing engine life.
1. Exhaust: Definitely. I'm thinking of going with the Solo Performance Mach 40 or 44. I haven't seen it installed on a lot of trucks, but really like the look and sound of it.
2. That all depends on where this channel goes. If it gains traction, then yes, a supercharger would get installed.
Great job...truck looks great. However, the visuals jump too fast from image to image so it's difficult to dwell on a single view unless hitting PAUSE. Slow it down a bit next time so we can better-enjoy your work---thanks
ShelbyDude1 thanks for the feedback. Def got carried away in this one. More to come...
Did you have to do any upgrades due to the heavier 35" tires? Do you need to regear?
Lawren Downing The truck has 3.31 gearing and I was worried that it’d be a dog, but it’s been completely fine.
That also means these Ford Raptor wheels I have been looking at should fit perfect - did you put back in the tire sensors?
Nope. I grew used to the start-up dinging and pressing the button to dismiss the message. I just added some Icon Compression Wheels with TPMS in my latest video, but am still trying to figure out the programming of the TPMS. I can't wait to get that feature back... It's the small things in life. :)
Can you please give exact details of wheels and tires you use a link would be even better. Thanks looks great
I'm more than happy to. The wheels are Generation 1 Special Edition Raptor wheels wrapped in 315/70R17 BFGoodrich KO2 tires. Unfortunately, I don't have a link to where you can purchase them. Check out the FB Marketplace or Craigslist. The special edition ones seem to be hard to come by nowadays, but you can definitely score some Raptor takeoffs in excellent condition for an affordable price! Lemme know if you end up going that route.
any rubbing at all?
Whats the full tire size, sir?
Did you have any issues with rubbing on the A-Arms
No A-arm rubbing. Thank goodness!
Do you get any tire rub when the truck is in motion and you turn uphill or into a moderate driveway (suspension compression causing 35s to rub)?
None at all with this setup.
Why did you remove the air dam? If it was a rubbing issue why not just trim the air dam corners off
Purely aesthetic reasons.
@@tstdrvr gotcha
This is a dumb question but will a leveling kit void your warranty?
Marshall .t no it will not
did you by chance re-align your headlights since you changed the rake of the truck and therefore will be blinding other drivers?
ruclips.net/video/T5H8BfEV02Y/видео.html
So I'll take that as a no, no you didnt
Yep. Realigned.
Did you have to get an alignment after the level kit was installed?
Yep!
Nice work. The truck looks great. I'm confused about the build sheet numbers though. Your total is $1513.56, but the wheels / tires and the air dam removal were free. You list $343.95 for the leveling kit & install and $99.95 for the tint, that gives me a total of $443.90. Where is the other $1069.66 coming from?
Gregory Nichols tires
Actually, that is the ongoing tally of all of the parts I've put on the truck to date. I need to make that clearer in future videos. I was fortunate to actually score the wheels and tires for free!!!
So question of the day. I know some of the questions come close to answering mine, but small details (offset) have been slightly different. I’m running a 2.25” leveling kit with wheels that are factory dimensions except for the offset. Instead of the factory offset of +44, I’m running a -24 which gives me a little more “poke.” The tires I’m running are also factory 275/65/r18 which comes to a diameter of 32,1”. Does anybody know if I can go to a 285/70/r18 with an actual diameter of 33.7” without trimming? I get different answers depending on who I ask. I’m not interested in extreme crawling of making the next Ford off-roading commercial. However, I like to get out of town to fish and hike, and yes, occasionally need to lock up, so I would like a little more clear without adding a lift kit.
Not exactly the same size, but I have 33's on my 2018 F150 (305/55R20) with a -18mm offset. They are very wide tires with poke and they required the crash bars to be removed.
rake is for towing
Truck looks awesome. You also have mad editing skills. Great job!
Thanks brother. If by mad you mean that they incite rage in others then I think your point is valid. ;)
Still working on trying to find a style that suits me. Appreciate you!
Hey man question. I have a 2016 f150 crew cab and I was wondering what tires I can fit on it with just a 2inch leveling kit and no offset. I hAvs 20 inch rims but know nothing on tires. Thanks !
Good question. I wish I had all of the answers. I’d suggest checking out custom offsets website. They have a gallery with tons of wheels/tires/lift/level combos. That’s a great place to start.
I have a 2016 with 2 inch ksp level snd 295/70/18 ridge grapps on factory wheels crash bars untouched and stil have more room to go bigger finger size between uca and tire to my next tire will be 35/12.50.18 toyo mt
Looks good cool edit but I think you could go a little wider
What’s up man
I put the 2018 raptor wheels on my 2018 f150 lariat a few months ago with the bfg ko2’s
I don’t know how you were able to pull it off, but I had some major trimming and the wheels were rubbing on the upper control arm as well as the crash bars
No less, yours Looks dope!
I put bora 2 3/4 spacers on mine and the stance is perfect!
Let me know if you’d like to see pics
Suraj Patel going to the shop on Tuesday to do the same thing (raptor beadlock wheels on my 18 lariat). I bought a 2.5” rugged off-road leveling kit. What trimming did you have to do to get them to fit?

Hey there does your F-150 have the MAX Tow Package?
Good question. I couldn't remember so I pulled out the window sticker... No max tow package here.
I’m currently in the process of doing something similar. Same truck but in Oxford white with the 5.0, 3.5 sst Lift, 2nd gen raptor beadlock capable rims with the 35” ko2 tires and afi rebel side exit exhaust. Since you put the 35s what kind of impact have you seen in fuel economy?
Sounds like some exciting stuff you have going on!
My fuel economy isn’t accurate just yet because I haven’t had the speedo recalibrated, but it looks like I went from around 22 to 18 MPGs. Post your results when you have ‘em!
I have a 2018 oxford white lariat sport and just put my 3.5 in my bed to get put on.. i had 295/60/20s on a +20 offset wheel.. decided to change it up and got with the 3.5 lift with 22x10s and 33s
Which rear end do you have?
@@Pghsfinest222 you could have easily put 35s on it with just a 2.5" level
@@brksy7386 I have the 3.31. Would eventually like to regear to 4.56 though.
All it needs now is a 6” lift
Amen.
Great job
Amazing editing skills! and the truck looks fantastic, the only question is why don't you have more subscribers!
Thanks Bradley. New channel... Not a lot of videos... Infrequent posting and replying to comments... I've got some work to do.
I had to pause the video just to see the truck at 4:17
Any rubbing
Trucks looks nice but that intro and music are terrible. Good luck with the future suspension.
Tim Harris thanks for the feedback.
What did this do to your gas mileage?
It went down to about 17mpgs
What size are the tires? 305/55R20?
bigbobeyo that’s a 33”. Raptors should be a 17” wheel I think.
315/70R17, so like 34.6" I believe. I thought they were 35s at the time I installed them, however.
Are those 35x12.15 R 17 or 315/70 R 17 tires?
315/70/17
@@tstdrvr So those are actually 34 1/2 's ... (34.4" technically)
@@SupaRice Those are not KO2's. They are the older BFG KO's. The sidewall design is the most obvious difference. The only specs I could find for that tire were from an old Discount Tire web page and it lists them as 34" overall diameter. Not sure how accurate that is but you are correct that they are definitely not 35's. Since the wheels came from a first gen Raptor I'm assuming the tires came off the same truck which would explain why they are the older design KO and not the current KO2. The last year for the first gen Raptor was 2014. The KO2 was also introduced in 2014 but the KO probably didn't go out of production until sometime in 2015, at least in certain sizes.
Wheels are not easy on the eyes
Sorry to hear that. I just installed some Icon Compression wheels in my latest video. Lemme know how they strike ya!
Need a 1" offset for the wheels.
You're right. However, my simple no-rub install wouldn't have been so straightforward. Check out my most recent video where I installed some Falken Wildpeak AT3s on Icon Compression wheels. Rub rub rub...
Those are not 35s. They’re 34.4s..
You’ll have to remove those pesky crash bars
level kits and chin spoiler removal reduces gas mileage performance.
Very true. However, the heavy tires were the real gas mileage reducer here.
Couldn't agree more with the other comments.
Terrific truck 👍
..... But the video is an acid trip followed by vomiting.
Having never done acid, I know now what it's like! Thanks for bearing with me while I experiment... Sorry that you were the lab rat. :)
If you wanted a comfortable ride those strut spacers are not the right choice. Bang bang go the UCA’s.🇵🇱🇺🇸
You've got a valid point. Funny enough, I just changed out the BFGs to Falken Wildpeaks and I was a little surprised at how much better the ride quality was. I still intend to change out the spacer kit for something "better" in the future.
Free ford dealership plug! Notice Ford and pay this man for his time
Haha! If only!
Stock fx4 wheels are way nicer then these i have the same truck
I really liked the wheels that came on my XLT. They look even better with some meatier tires, but I wanted to try something "different".
I was expecting to see some hot chicks twerking since I assumed this was a hip hop video. Chill with the editing!! Lol
Note to self: Add hot chicks twerking next time. Check!
What was this video about?🇵🇱🇺🇸😷
I made it and I still don't know.
Too much editing. Made me dizzy
Sorry about that, but thanks for the feedback.
Smh 🤦♂️ it’s just some basic wheels and tires
You're right, but I really liked the look of these when they came out. I just installed some Icon Compression wheels in the latest video. Feel free to check it out.
The rake sucks.. I go into the ford dealer and look at those truck,, and I’m not impressed, they look like pansy ass trucks stock.. unlike ram,, those stock are badass
RAMs are definitely badass. They caught my eye when I was looking for a truck, but I grew up in a Ford household and the deal that I got on this one was pretty awesome. All the best...
will the fx4 package level the truck ????
no, FX4 package is just skid plates, and hill assist basically. you'll have to level it...
Huh?
How wide are the tires ?
Tire dimensions are 315/70R17
F-150 owners be mindful of the rims you choose for your truck if you want to run a 35" tire with no rubbing. I'm running the same 2.25" ready lift level and 34.6" x 11.25" K02 tires (285/65/20) on 20" rims with a 12mm offset on my '16 F150 FX4. The tires rub the crash bars at full lock, the rubbing is even worse when reversing the truck.
Take the bolts out of crash bars and take them off . Save them if you decide size tires in the future . That’s what I plan on doing , but not sure 🤔 there’s a reason for Ford having a 5 ⭐️ crash test rating.
I would not suggest removing your crash bars! I will likely run a smaller diameter tire once my current tires are worn out. I think anyone who wants to run a simple front end lift on these trucks should avoid any tire larger than 33.5"-34" and keep the offset/backspace close to OEM.
Good point. I learned this in my most recent video where I installed the same size tires, but with a more aggressive offset. What did you end up doing to yours?
@@tstdrvr Dealer sized the tires, I made them aware of the rubbing issue.. they said it would not effect warranty on the truck so I have just put up with it.
Have you seen the posts/videos about porta-power to push out the crash bars a little?
Nice truck and the level & wheel/tire looks great, but I am dizzy and have a headache from the video. Eyes, ears and brain can't keep up with all the editing. Slow and clear is better than fast & loud.
Thanks for all of the feedback, good and bad! Appreciate you bearing with me while I toy around and learn what to do and what NOT to do.
i am dizzy........
Sorry bout that, mate!
Video editing is annoying
Sorry bout that!
Nasty music
The editing on this was annoying my guy
Thanks for the feedback. An experiment gone awry...
Worst truck video I ever seen. Bet he thought his editing was good.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm still learning the ropes. Check out my most recent video and let me know if it's more your style.
Horrible loud music volume with terrible jumpy editing. Unwatchable.
