- After finally getting over our period of Covid while on the Great Ocean Road, we move onto Haddon to a donation free cost camp which is only a few kilometres out of Ballarat. While there we check out the sites of Ballarat before moving to Bendigo where we book into the Golden Nugget Caravan Park for two nights and explore what Bendigo offers.

Another lovely, enjoyable video. Many thanks for the upload. 👍 Keep 'em comin'.
Thank you, shall do 👍
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
😊 Great Vid 🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷 Love The Botanical Gardens
We loved the gardens as well, very nice to be in.
👍 supercalifragilisticexpialidocious , Mick 'n Sally, many thanks in sharing your travel moments. Us viewers won't know what to do with ourselves when you get back steering ABC.
Not long now and the steering will be a thing of the past.😄😄
thank you for this trip down memory lane as it is many years since I have been to both places. The last time I saw begonias that beautiful was in Tasmania in 2011. Such glorious flowers. The first time I saw them was in Plymouth in England growing outside in pots & in a lot of the villages in 1987 & fell in love with them but you need the cooler climate to grow them successfully. Love them dahlias but yes, they looked at the end of their prime but if I can look that good at the end of my prime, then I will be more than happy!! 🤣
Glad you liked the video, thank you. For us the flowers had the wow factor as we don't often see flowers like that.
I was in Bendigo for the Easter festival last year. It's a lovely old place. It took 200yrs to finnish the Cathedral we were told. Yes it's a Lotus flower, we watched them build it.
Oh wow & thank you.
Many thanks for the memories, in past years we have visited many of the places you have covered of the past couple of years. things have changed a little.
We are Tasmanian and are pleased to see you intent to visit our holiday isle, it will only be 7 klm. from our home where you will berth when you arrive here.
Look forward to your future video's.
Glenn.
Thank you Glenn, we have tried to visit Tasmania a few years ago but missed out on a booking schedule. We will be retired from the workforce when we go over in February of next year so time will not be an issue for us. We are looking forward to going over there.
hello, it is very relaxing to watch your videos
It is always a bit like coming home to me because I visited Australia twice in 1984 and 1998 with relatives in Dandenong. but especially the quietness of filming and recording is simply the most relaxing. wonderful!!
Greetings from Holland
Albert 🇳🇱
Thank you Albert, good to read you are liking the videos👍
Good to see you in my home town of bendigo 👍
We always like visiting Bendigo, such lovely old buildings there.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 that’s good, we don’t have a van but I have always thought that bgo was not very friendly to vans, I hate to think how far out of the city you would need to go to find a parking area
@@roberthocking9138 Interesting point, we have always left the van in a Caravan Park each time we have visited. At the moment I can't picture too many spots to park close to anything, you are correct.
Thanks for the memories;
Living in the S.E we use to get up very early to have a day in Ballarat for the Begonia Festival
Our GPS got us misplaced in the middle of the night back of Bendigo scary - en route to Qld!
Our then young son got into a fountain in Bendigo - chasing money! A lady made a dash for a cab - purse flew open - notes everywhere
Thanks also for the what to see in Ballarat- we are staying 2 nights pre Tassie
Great to hear you are both OK, safe travels
P.S. viewers may need a fox explanation - had a vision of foxes flying and not the aerial ones ( problems with them in NQ) Jan Adelaide
We would have called them bats but all of the signs there referred to them as foxes so that is how we presented it. Would rather call them flying bats but never mind.
Enjoy your trip to Tassie, we go that way in February next year.
Happy Easter. While youre over in my neck of the woods Im in yours, spending Easter in Adelaide. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
Same to you! Hope you enjoy Adelaide as much as we enjoyed your neck of the woods.
I lived in Bendigo for a few years.
We have always like the buildings there from the very first time we visited years ago.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 yes they make you feel like you're home for some reason. It's a pity you didn't go and see The Great Stupa that's not that far out from Eaglehawk, its open to the public too. Maybe next time.
@@kayenash5481 Yes always the next time.👍
Next time in bendìgo you should check out the Gardens of the future which adjoin the Bendigo botanical Gardens.
We were going to have a look there on this trip but ran out of time and with the weather like it was, we decided to leave it for another trip.
Some lovely and very eye catching colours and you always deliver on information. Really interesting, lovely as always .👍❤️🫶🐾. Ps hope you all have a very happy Easter .🪺
We are enjoying our Easter break with the family as I write this to you, hope your Easter is going well.
Whats the odds, been watching you for a long time, now youre 50m away from my home on a video haha
You live in a great part of Australia, was great there.
Bonjour de France Mick & Sally. Quelle jolie visite ! JPhB
Thank you JPhB, when you see me disappear from this channel you know we found plenty of gold but until then you will continue to see more videos. Take care my friend.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 👍Justement, je tenais à te dire: "J'ADORE l'or Australien...😁" On partage ?!?😉 A bientôt, JPhB.

Yea Eaglehawk 😂😂
Coin operated - means you have to have access to cash, and they're going to be getting rid of cash! No ATMs in rural areas I heard. 😱 Happy Easter holidays. ☦️✝️
Gee there even getting rid of ATM's in local areas in the suburbs 😮around Adelaide
The government wants a cashless system , will be a world wide thing , big brother is watching every penny spent by us 😢
Worrying times for us all with it.
Was that Chinese dragon not there anymore. Wen we were there it was the biggest outside off China.
All we can say is that we didn't see one or it would have been filmed. Exactly where was the dragon located?
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 hi Mick all i remember it was inside the main building. I believe it was over 40 m. But it is more than 10 years ago.
@@waltercaremans2150 At that height I think we would have seen it if it was still there.
