My parents had a blue Morris Major like the pink one seen in this video, was a great car. My grand parents also had one and di Port Augusta to Alice Springs many times before the bitumen was laid.
Wow!! It has certainly grown up since the late 70s when we visited it & took a trip on the paddle steamer which was the same one they used for the Australia tv series, all the Rivers Run. I remember that tree on the stand. The vintage part but the rest was new & it certainly would be a great place to spend a week. The caravan place is certainly nicer these days. I am sorry that I never managed to get back again in later years but life just didn't turn out that way, sadly!! So thank you for taking me there again so glad you took all the time to show it off.
Another good video & great music 🎶 to go with it. I liked the clip of the old steam engine, it reminded me of the steam powered floating bridge that crossed the river Itchen in Southampton uk. As a boy I just loved looking in the engine room & amazed with the workings.
Glad that you are enjoying the videos, thanks. So many places to go and see, so little time to get to them all🥴. Hopefully we will get over that way mid next year.
Hi Mick. Thanks for a wonderful series on your trip. This particular show has brought back some great memories of our time in Echuca. It certainly is a great area and there is such a lot to see and do. Keep up the excellent and professional videos of your trip. Best wishes from Rotorua
Great 👍 video Mick. I'm thinking of starting up a RUclips channel my self some stage " Don't know what I'll call it yet. I'll let you know soon as I do so. Take care from William. Mount Gambier " South Australia 🇦🇺
Love the arm chair travels🙏💙 Q did u see evidence of the floods? Had E Wharf put up flood height markers? Lots to see - spend a day in the beer shed me thinks. Thanks safe travels Jan Adelaide
We did see evidence of the flood although we didn't see any flood height markers. The water marks on the Echuca wharf were there but with the dark colour of the wharf timbers, it wasn't easy to see let alone film. One of the Caravan Parks were really badly flooded and there were tell tale marks there but I didn't film it as it was too far away at the time.
I Love Watching P5 Echuca The Old Cars I Grow Up Around As A Young Child Brings Back Memorys I Remember Dad Owning A Gray Ghost Thanks Mick & Sally 🤗

Did you have a memorable Easter Mick and Sally.?
We sure did, even more so as we will not be with our group next year.
Hi Mick how much is the caravan park per night cheers 🍻
Echuca cost us $36.00 per night with our discount.
What is the temperature here in Florida it's 80
It would have been around the 20 degree Celsius mark from memory.
