BTW it's beautiful, tight, duet playing. Really outstanding work. I just get my hackles up at the "competition is always good" mentality in artistic pursuits. It's destructive at times because, at times, the competition isn't about excellence but at packaging and presenting artistic product down to the audience's level of understanding, instead of asking the audience to open their minds and elevate themselves.
Really great recording - bit of a shame that Francis McDuff's pipes seem to be lower down in the mix than John McSherry's - especially in the parts of the Air where they harmonise, but still a great performance and a nice choice of jigs.
This is not a duel. This is a DUET. Big difference. They are not competing, they are cooperating. Why is it some people must make everything into a sport or a competition? This is art, not sports, not business, not warfare. Try to understand the difference. If they were "dueling" it would sound like sh*t.

the uilleann pipes are basicly tuned in d and can be played also in g, so it`s the most likely scale!
