I think the assessment and projection is off on parekh. I don't think his offense, as it is now, is all that projectible, and if he can't be an offensive force, particularly at 5on5, his average defensive game won't be enough to propel him to anything better than a tony deangelo / erik gustafsson type career. But hey, if he hits and is in the norris talked 6 years from now, I'll remember Hadi had him higher than anyone
I really don’t know, because the draft is wide open after 1. Yakemchuk could go top 5 or be available at 14. Same for Catton, Buium, Parekh, Eiserman… I’d target a defenseman with the 14th pick if I’m the Sharks. If all of Buium, Parekh, Dickinson and Yakemchuk are off the board, though, I’d go BPA. There’s a big gap in D talent after that group.
