Like He killed Scar in 3rd Life, Mumbo in Last Life and BigB in Double life, not to mention that he was the reason for his and Scars final death in DL.... All I'm saying is that there's a pattern here...Bad boys betrayal arc maybe?

Despite the ending shot in the void seeming like a bleak finish for them, at least this time Grian isn't separated from either of them, even if the world's destroyed. This is just so good, you're making me feel a lot of feelings in this house right now
I don't know if my interpretation of this was meant to be had, but watching this makes me think of Watcher!Grian (purple) as a lonely immortal (likely coming off the end of the EVO SMP) looking into other universes at his "lesser" (finite-lives) selves. He sees one get close to Scar, but have to commit murd-suic, looks for another self who found happiness, and again watches himself forced to terminate a friend. And then he wakes up to these two friendly, familiar strangers who have appeared, wanting to explore this new land, and even when the world is threatened, he's happy that he can, at the least, save these two.
I just can't help but hear in my head, watching Scar and Grian looking at each other during the part of "It's an adventure with a breathtaking view"... Grian: Do you think Mumbo would be proud? Scar: Absolutely!
I'll be honest. I never thought anyone could connect three separate series in a 4 minute song but you did and it worked really well. The funny thing this time is that Grian's now paired with Scar legit and he can't kill him... Also Mumbo's not there so yeah. To Double Life we go...
Actually 4 series'! All the purple bits are a nod to Grians server from years ago, Evo! The purple eyes and wings are a nod to the watchers in that server. I've been binging it and I have been,, crying a bit after seeing the purple but yeah
I adore all of this. I also love how Grian going purple right as the moon is gonna hit sort of implies that he's the one who pulled them into the void to save them. He may not have even meant to, just reacted instinctively and activated his watcher powers. No one but him would realize that he'd been the one to do it
This is so amazing! That shot at the end, tho… it’s too late at night to be feeling these feels. Also, I think you’re the first animator to make Grian’s eyes be flat squares without it looking weird. Good job!
OH this was amazing. I loved the process of this - from 3rd life, and his relationship with Scar and his 'win' when he died at the end, to Last Life and his relationship with Mumbo and that tragic end, how he died there as well and lost BOTH of them... and then to Hermitcraft. Where he found both his friends again, and had good times with them, and even if things ended with the moon crashing into Earth (and some sleep deprivation), they were all safe in the void, together. Finally. Grian drawing them closer with his wings at the end - Just. My heart. I just LOVE your art style, how you tell the story you want to tell, everything about this. Superb work you funky little artist.
MY HEART. This is so absolutely brilliant!! The narrative you told with your gorgeous animation is so heartbreakingly beautiful. I feel as if I’ve just watched a movie. The callbacks to third life and last life with the ending shot of Grian, Scar, Mumbo and Jellie!! Breathtaking.
@@AIDragon_2 I think that the story is just great not only because it is drawn so amazingly but also because it is a rollercoaster of emotions you start fun and happy than sad when scar dies in 3rd life and it repeats but leaves it on a sort of cliffhanger in the end. honestly 10/10
I keep coming back to watch this and I finally noticed a really cool detail. During the portion of the song done on Hermitcraft we see the scene of Mumbo taking Grian's "soul" to turn himself human again. In the clip of them together after that we see that Mumbo now has Grian's ear wings!

I think I've already commented once on how good this is (if not, it's amazing), but I was re-watching it and realized that Grian wears a crystal. Like, the kind of crystals that Scar sells as a magic man. Don't know if that connection was intentional but dang good job either way.
Your animatics hold the most special place in my heart. Life series has been a constant in my life for a long time, and your art makes it feel so real. In your other desert duo animatic and in this one, the way you portray how grian and scar initially teamed up is gut-wrenching. It feels like he knows every adventure he tries to go on will eventually end in disaster... but the adventure, the people, the memories are still worth it. Especially with the end of HC season 8, when his eyes and head feathers turned purple... He knew, but he had hoped that maybe, just maybe, this time it would be okay. And in a way, it was. He still had his friends in the end. Whatever they were about to face, they would face it together. This time, he wasn't alone. ALSO SEASON 9'S LORE HAS ME MAJORLY HYPED LIKE WHAT-
You’ve managed to pierce so deep into my heart. I don’t know if I’ll ever forget this. The emotions from the end of 3rd life, added into this. The loss of a friend by your own hands, then followed by the killing of mumbo. It just takes the narrative of loss of loved ones from your own doing, and makes it 100x more impactful(almost as much as that moon)
This was utterly beautiful. Never thought one could connect all three of these worlds together so fluently. Amazing work! Also, this gave me a new headcannon: Each SMP is a new life and no one remembers the previous except for Grian because of his Watcher background.
Yes, I know this is emotional and all, but I'm the kind of person who would destroy and emotional moment. Its hilarious how in these animatics Grian is always portrayed as crying over Mumbo/Scar's body when he kills them, but, in the actual episode he's like 'HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED'.

I like to think Hermitcraft and Empires are where people go after losing their last life (kind of like in this video, or I can’t understand it). The people not in 3rd/last life who are in Hermitcraft and Empires are others very close with the ones in 3rd/last life so they appear there. A bit like a guardian. Hermitcraft and Empires are a separate dimension from last/3rd life. It is a different side of a person, one to have fun and live life up. This time they can expire end and play deadly pranks instead of being in fear of dying constantly. Just my silly little brain trying it’s best ;) Also, this is amazing! That is so goddamn cute, I've never seen the Life Series and Hermitcraft being tied together _SO_ thematically well! It's almost like Hermitcraft is sort of a peaceful relief from the horror and dread of the former, and that *2:55* Reveal where Grian is finally shown with wings again gave me chills.
This has got to be one of my favorite 3rd/Last Life animatics. I overall just really like your character designs and the way they are able to convey expressions, even if Grian's eyes are literal rectangles. I may be a few months late to seeing this, but I have to tell you just how good this is. The art and animations are so clean and smooth, I love all the details you put in, all the little moments and feelings in their eyes. I've seen a lot of people make Grian's eyes black blocks, but yours is the first to perfectly reflect his emotions in them. I love that you even got Scar's different outfits just right :) Honestly, it's almost like someone made this song for this animation specifically with how perfectly timed everything is. I love how the watchers in this are made prominent with the purple imaging, but at the same time hidden. they're sort of hidden in plain sight, which is awesome, especially in hermitcraft

I like to think Hermitcraft and Empires are where people go after losing their last life (kind of like in this video, or I can’t understand it). The people not in 3rd/last life who are in Hermitcraft and Empires are others very close with the ones in 3rd/last life so they appear there. A bit like a guardian. Hermitcraft and Empires are a separate dimension from last/3rd life. It is a different side of a person, one to have fun and live life up. This time they can expire end and play deadly pranks instead of being in fear of dying constantly.

That is so goddamn cute, I've never seen the Life Series and Hermitcraft being tied together _SO_ thematically well! It's almost like Hermitcraft is sort of a peaceful relief from the horror and dread of the former, and that *2:55* Reveal where Grian is finally shown with wings again gave me chills.

This has got to be one of my favorite 3rd/Last Life animatics. I overall just really like your character designs and the way they are able to convey expressions, even if Grian's eyes are literal rectangles. I really like the specific moments you showed to tell your story. I loved it so much! It honestly made me well up a bit, and that's saying something.

I may be a few months late to seeing this, but I have to tell you just how good this is.
The art and animations are so clean and smooth, I love all the details you put in, all the little moments and feelings in their eyes. I've seen a lot of people make Grian's eyes black blocks, but yours is the first to perfectly reflect his emotions in them. I love that you even got Scar's different outfits just right :)
Honestly, it's almost like someone made this song for this animation specifically with how perfectly timed everything is.
