Thanks so much from Sharon in Hobart TAS Australia. Have been wanting to learn how to do this project. I love this video and look forward to joining you in more of your craft projects. 💕
This is absolutely scrumptious! What are the amounts of water vinegar and salt to set the dye? And is the water hot or room temperature. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thank you so much! I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of salt. The water I didn't really measure - a little less than a gallon and it was room temp.
Really cool. What particular scarf did you use in this video? The link you provided has a bunch of different ones to choose from. Also, is there a recipe for the water, vinegar and salt, how much of each ingredient to use. I have the same question as one other viewer, you mentioned heat keeps the colors from running, but where does the heat fit into the process? Thank you.

@@judypattersonart she ironed it ! That’s the heat I presume ! It’s gorgeous.!
How long did you wait until you took the rubber bands off? Did you let it dry out for any length of time before you put it in vinegar bath?
Only until I was working on the other ones. Did not wait for it to dry. And I put them in the vinegar bath when they were still damp.
Truly gorgeous
Thank you very much!
Olá, muito lindo trabalho, qual proporção de álcool e sal ,para lavagem??

Do I dry in the dryer after the color is set? I usually use dyes but want to try alcohol inks? Do u prefer the alcohol?
I ironed the scarf and that set the colors. I haven't tried dyes. I like the alcohol because it's quick and easy.
how much water vinegar and salt do you use in the setting solution, and will it set the ink on all fabrics?
