    What ratio of vinegar and salt to water please?

    • @CraftedSweetly
      @CraftedSweetly  Год назад

      I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of vinegar. The water I didn't really measure, it was a little less than a gallon.

    This is absolutely scrumptious! What are the amounts of water vinegar and salt to set the dye? And is the water hot or room temperature. Thank you so much for sharing this.

      No, they don't run. I believe the vinegar and heat set the color.

      Really cool. What particular scarf did you use in this video? The link you provided has a bunch of different ones to choose from. Also, is there a recipe for the water, vinegar and salt, how much of each ingredient to use. I have the same question as one other viewer, you mentioned heat keeps the colors from running, but where does the heat fit into the process? Thank you.

    How long did you wait until you took the rubber bands off? Did you let it dry out for any length of time before you put it in vinegar bath?

    • @CraftedSweetly
      @CraftedSweetly  Год назад

      Only until I was working on the other ones. Did not wait for it to dry. And I put them in the vinegar bath when they were still damp.

    Do I dry in the dryer after the color is set? I usually use dyes but want to try alcohol inks? Do u prefer the alcohol?

    • @CraftedSweetly
      @CraftedSweetly  11 месяцев назад

      I ironed the scarf and that set the colors. I haven't tried dyes. I like the alcohol because it's quick and easy.
