Christine Felice Like a year since I nearly lost a fight due to balance. And the things I searched weren’t nearly as helpful. Day one of seeing this and I’m feelin better already.
I have a bottomless pit in my basement with a bunch of poles sticking up, and I carry a full glass of water from one side to the other, hopping from pole to pole. Eddie Murphy taught me that.
What I can tell you as a promise - Learn "pistol squats" ☝🏼 And if you learned them, learn them on a balance board. Nothing gives you more leg power and balance.
the hell dude!? do you work with FBI or something..!? did you put chips on my head?? every time I thought about something (Martial art), you always upload the answers of all my questions.. creep me out!
Shane can u plz make a video about the diference of throwing punches like uppercut, jab , straight on Muay thai and Boxing. i liked how u explained the stance and height of guard and low part of the body.
This will help alot, most fighters don't get the basics down earlier on in they're career and me being one of them I know I must imply the fundamental rule of - Basics, basics basics!!!
Great video. Hey shane, speaking of balance and muay thai have you done any videos on samart payakaroon and his impressive style, if not can you do a breaking down on how we can train some of those techniques?
Hey Shane, I know this isn't the normal comment you get but. Today a very important home town warrior passed away. I wont go into specifics but even until the bitter end she was still doing her best and fighting strong. Her name is Katy Collins, she was a fighter in Bellator. If you would just take a look into who she is that would mean a lot to me
Shane has taught me enough that I've been able to help teach self defense at my school and its needed the other day I saw a girl being abused by her boyfriend and kids get punked on. But I'm gonna try to make a difference
How long does it generally take before you see an improvement in your balance? I think I've finally discovered that the reason my teeps SUCK is because of very poor balance. I really want to improve them.
Hey Shane, I have a question that I asked on another video, but haven't really received an answer for. I was wondering if you could help with it please. If you do these kicks in mma, and you are tired so your kick is not as swift as it should be, how do you recover to defend against a takedown. I know that when you kick, it's good to keep your hands and arms in positions where you don't get counter-punched, but about someone like gsp or khabib where they would go for that takedown? (if your answer is in the vid, sorry i hadn't watched it before posting this lol)
I have trained Muay Thai and now jiu jitsu. I struggle with being on the balls of my feet, any tips for things I can do to make that easier for me? Thanks in advance

“Balance, timing, distance” will be forever stuck in my head from my coach. Only problem is I suck at all three.
You have a great coach. He's spot on. Keep at it; if it were easy, everyone would be good at it.
@@fighttips that easy quote really inspired me! Thanks so much
Been waiting for something like this
Christine Felice Like a year since I nearly lost a fight due to balance. And the things I searched weren’t nearly as helpful. Day one of seeing this and I’m feelin better already.
Kick and stick - 0:45
Kick and check - 2:00
Balance - 3:00
Thanks Shane appreciate it, been having slight trouble with my balance and this video helped out
i increase my balance by walking on wet rocks on the ocean shore
I have a bottomless pit in my basement with a bunch of poles sticking up, and I carry a full glass of water from one side to the other, hopping from pole to pole. Eddie Murphy taught me that.
That is actually very dangerous, I don't recommend you doing this because you'll risk injuring yourself.
Really? Im too
I do this one yoga move… it starts as a calf stretch then you raise opposite hand to ceiling haha
@@Kettvnen ohh no you wouldn’t want that to happen right ? Lol
As an old guy just getting started, you make me look like I'm in slow motion.
All the best with the training sir!

Shane can u plz make a video about the diference of throwing punches like uppercut, jab , straight on Muay thai and Boxing. i liked how u explained the stance and height of guard and low part of the body.
Yes, really needed this👊
Nice work but I’d say a better progress would be, the 2nd one first, the last one second and the first one third, based on the warmup for the muscles

In the check drill, I found incredible useful to go elbow to knee and shell up, keeping the chin down and holding the phone on that glove
This is just what i need...thank you and keep up the GOOD work 👍👍👍

Be careful. These videos are great but they should only be considered a supplement to actual, in-person training.
@@andrewgalloway8012 oh yeah I know I've been doing real training for a while

Not a troll or a expert but I do have a question: why is your foot so flat when you kick? Shouldn't you be up on the ball of your foot when kicking?
Good bahlan

Still can’t land a head kick tho 😢
Just keep stretching bro you got this
Only fight really short people. Ezpz.
Is it a problem that I kick only with only 1 leg?
Yes, because then your opponent will simply have to avoid that leg.
